doesn't look like it does on the photo
Cable was dry rotted, the keyboard is nasty...doesn't look like it does on the photo...I spent an hour trying to wipe it off to use.

Didn't last long
I know its a refurb so you take your chances, but it stopped working after a few weeks of use. Space bar and one of the other keys stopped working. So disappointed, I love these keyboards and it was great to be using one again.

Very nice keyboard, but a little too sticky
Purchased this keyboard advertised as "mint condition". Used to use these keyboards all the time on my job a while back and I loved the way they felt back then. My package arrived and it appeared like it was stored in very good condition. No discoloration and i appeared extremely clean. They even sent it with a PS/2 to USB adapter. Which is good because it was not functioning on my computers PS/2 port (came with the cable btw). It functioned fine, but, the keys were extremely sticky. Upon further investigation this was because if the spring underneath the keys. Since I really had no way to replace the springs I had to send it back. Based on everyone else's reviews I think I just got a bad one. Purchased my keyboard from Tekserve

I purchased from IT Switches... very happy.
I purchased my model M from "IT Switches", one of the distributors. When I inquired about what cable was missing, they confirmed it was the important keyboard to PS2 cable that you see above the keyboard in the main photo, NOT the little PS2 to USB adapter (that is sold separately). They asked if I was interested in the same Model M, but a different model number that had the keyboard cable fixed (like most generic keyboards today). It was a 1396790 and not one of the knock-off later model outsources ones. The person I worked with said he would personally walk out to the warehouse floor to find me one that was in the best condition, nearly NOS. He took pictures of it and emailed me to see if it would be okay or if I wanted a different one. I went ahead with the order, which came super fast, and was very happy to see that I got basically a brand new keyboard in the original box. It doesn't have ANY wear marks (or shiny spots), no dust, absolutely no signs that it had ever been touched. It worked without any adapter when I plugged it into my PS2 port (I can't believe my new mobo even still had one) and restarted my PC. It sounds great! All the keys work and you definitely know when you are typing.Bottom line - IT Switches treated me amazing and even took photos of the actual keyboard I would be buying to make sure I was happy. How cool is that?!-DJ

Best keyboard to ever bless this magnificent earth
I'll keep this short and sweet. My keyboard arrived in nearly immaculate condition. The keys are in excellent shape, the keyboard feels and sounds great. The feet on the bottom are still in working condition. This keyboard is built like a tank. I don't know or particularly care about the granularity as to where these keyboards came from, but wherever ITech is procuring them, it is literally as if one traveled back to the late 80s and early 90s. My keyboard arrived in a timely manner. Though it didn't have an SDL to PS/2 cable, the vendor quickly refunded me 15% so that I could use the funds to purchase another cable separately. Well, I went ahead and ordered an SDL to USB Type A cable from Ebay, and the pair couldn't be any cleaner and better. If you're on the fence about this keyboard, I'm telling you, buy it now.

The best, even with a flaw.
IBM keyboards are usually the best. (I hear that there is one made in Italy which might be better but I've never tried it.) This one has a few keys which stick, Like the space bar. But it is still so much better than anything else on market that I am going to live with it.
