Can this device be used with the DeWalt DW616 Fixed Base Router?

It's basically a quarter inch pin with a sliding plastic cone all it does is center the plastic sub base on your router for accuracy with using guide bushings it can be used with any model router that excepts one quarter inch bits

Is this needed for dewalt dwp611pk where the interchangeable fixed base & plunge base base fit into tracks on motor unit? thanks!!

This is used to perfectly center the black plastic portion of the router base up with the collet. For most standard router operations this is not needed.
