Painted Lady Butterflies (Life Cycles) Paperback – September 1, 2000

This book has good factual information about painted ladies; however, compared to "Where Butterflies Grow,"( which also has great factual information), I find it lacking in visual appeal. Since our preschool raises painted ladies, I bought two copies for our library. I have not used it with a class; neither have I gotten feedback from a teacher who has. I suspect that the kids' feedback would be "boring!"

It is an excellent reference book. I had ordered the life cycle of the Painted Lady . It came with 5 caterpillars in a self contained container. We used the book to see in detail the metamorphosis of this beautiful butterfly.

I used this book as part of my lesson on butterfly life cycle in my kindergarten classroom. It was helpful.

Perfect accompaniment when teaching about painted lady butterflies. Easy read aloud with interesting facts.

Great experience for my whole family. My children enjoyed watching all the stages of a butterfly. Will do this every year.
