Stud Finder Wall Scanner 3-in 1 Metal AC Wires Wood Detector with Backlit LCD Screen Display and Beeping Sound Alert

I gave this product 5 stars although the battery did arrive almost dead.So far I have only used this stud finder to locate wooden studs through standard dry wall and have not tested the reminder of the capabilities of this stud finder.I was able to locate the same wooden stud by using the wooden stud mode as well as the automatic finder mode.You must remember when using this stud finder it is not searching for stud center, you will need to make when the stud finder first goes off and then scan from the other direction and then mark that spot and find the middle mark.I gave this to my dad for Christmas and he loved it.Ill update this review if anything else worthy of mentioning comes up.

I bought it to help find the studs behind the wall to hang a TV. It has an option that makes it to only point out studs and i was writing lines where it told me but it was very inconsistent. I ended up taking out an outlet and looking behind the drywall and i had metal studs (no wood studs) but the sensor was telling me i had all these wood studs. I'm not sure if it was me using it wrong or it was the machine its self. I didn't return because i have hope the finder works fine but not sure.

Great product at a great price.

Used this stud finder for the first time yesterday. I used a new battery. It did not work well at all. I even tested it on a wall that I constructed so I would know for sure where the studs were. It might locate the edge of a stud but would not indicate the other edge,and would not clear at all between the studs. This,while being in stud mode. Not good. Luckily my daughter happened to have a cheap Zircon that worked well.

Had issues with its accuracy in the drywall. Tried several times with mixed resultsCame with an almost dead battery. Maybe it was a return?Anyways returned it after a couple attempts and a few day. To amazons credit, it’s an easy return.

Stud finder came undamaged and just as described, BUT the battery that was included was almost dead. Luckily it still worked for the small project I needed it for before completely dying. Taking off two stars because I bought this specific stud finder since it included a battery.UPDATE: shortly after posting my first review with 3 stars, the seller contacted me profusely and ended up refunding most of the cost of the stud finder and giving me new batteries. The thing works fine now
