I just wanted to add a quick review after a few days of ownership for those of you considering this phone. To give it some context I have come from a Pixel 7 Pro with a battery that has just fallen off a cliff (not literally) and an intermittent USB charging port problem. First off the phone looked really nice in dark green, a good choice for me, it is a little lighter than my old phone and a little smaller. Lovely screen, really nice and bright with great definition, sound ok, not as bad as many have made out. I was forced to do the software swap over the air because of the Pixel's broken USB port but this worked seamlessly with no issues. Coming from what was once a class leading camera, the camera on the Fairphone is certainly good enough for general use so don't be put off by some of the comments. All the updates were done by me at the beginning of use, so the phone is as up to date as it can be. I do wonder if some of the negative comments i have seen online are because in the USA this is an $800 phone where as I have paid just over £400, a huge difference with I'm guessing very different expectations. First reactions from me are good and buying it on Amazon is probably the best way to buy it in case there are any issues or you don't like it when it arrives. Very happy so far and will add to this review should that change. Hopefully this phone will last me a very long time.

I have been using this phone for a couple of months (now past the returnable date), and am preparing to send it to the manufacturer for repair under warranty. In general I have found this phone very nice to use, apart from some occasional minor glitches and lags. I do like it, and am in favour of its ease of sustainable repairability. However, I am disappointed in finding it suddenly unusable when the battery ran down, was put on charge, and then spontaneously shut down and could no longer be charged or restarted. It left me high and dry. This is not what you'd expect from a £500+ phone.

I received my Fairphone 6 on 28 December 2025. So far I am very happy! I needed a new phone as my OnePlus 6t was 7 years old, out of service updates and the battery was unreliable. I loved that phone and didn't want to change it. However, I'm very happy with my new FP6. Everything works well, the transition between phones has been smooth and I'm not missing my 6t. The screen is lovely and even old pictures look great on it. I haven't taken many pictures with the camera yet but what I have look good. My main reason for choosing the Fairphone 6 over others - such as the Google pixel 9a - (and paying a premium) was the company's ethics, and the ability to do simple things like replace the battery. I'm not sure about the value of having the Lime switch for Fairphone moments. Perhaps others will like it but it feels a bit of a gimmick to me. So far so good and I'm delighted with the FP6.

I wanted to support the idea of a repairable, ethical phone. But this device is fundamentally unreliable. The most basic function — taking a photo — fails constantly. You press the shutter, it looks like it worked, and then… nothing saves. No error message. Just wasted moments you can never get back. This is a well-documented issue. Hundreds of complaints online. Fairphone has known about it for ages. Yet they still sell this phone without a fix. It’s unacceptable for a device that costs this much. An unreliable camera means missed memories, failed document scans, and constant anxiety every time you try to take a picture. Avoid unless you enjoy being let down by your phone when it matters most.

One of the best smartphone I ever had. I was swapping my s24 to this after long thinking, and I'm not missing wireless charging and Samsung bloatware. Ok it's not faster than S24 but still have better battery life and thanks by stock android is jus easy to use, quality of photos even without GCam are amazing (yes it's doing better, more realistic and detailed photos). Screen without fingerprint also is not big issue for me, I don't really need fingerprint scanner under screen if I could replace faulty screen by myself with reasonable price. What I could say more... From negatives (default launcher didn't have possibility to create folders or other methods to organise apps in app drawer and no possibility to hide or rename apps but that could be resolved by installing addictional launcher like smart launcher. There is not to many Google bloatware, but with small tool we could do that by ADB commands. Fairphone supposed to have more options to personalise physicaly by different cases. I would like to see some day addictional e-ink screen upgrade on back. Every phone on market supposed to have that support and access to repair own phones. I can feel again I owned device (not device own me). Fully recommend.

Fingerprint sensor on the phone switcg bugging out, an issue I've had with phones in the past that never got fixed and I'm not waiting around in the hope this one will. I suspect there's a good reason why manufacturers have mostly dropped the power switch/sensor combination that's not been leaned here. And the battery life isn't great too put it mildly. I bought this to replace an old pixel phone that has had its battery throttled after a recent update but it's still comparable to this thing. Sorry, ethics good but it's just not there as a product

Great phone so far. Bit heavy but good resolution, camera is great. Above all, I bought for the company value of ethical phone which is repairable. So hopefully, it will be as they claim 🤞🏾

Late delivery! It took 5 more days to be delivered that promised. The phone is very nice and I really believe in it. I love the philosophy behind it and that it is NOT an American product and that the guys at Fairphone works hard to be free from China too!

It's so Good phone . I have been used many brands but this brand is all I want , smooth user interface , very attractive look , everybody who see this phone in my hand , they get attracted,they feel like wow . It's speed and look overall is so awesome. But the problem is you can't find cases of glass easily as per your choice . The accessories are limited available .

Hatte bis vor Juli '25 ein LG, war einfach Zeit für ein neues Handy. Meine Entscheidung für dieses Gerät waren durch die Langlebigkeit und die nachhaltige Herstellungsweise geprägt. Hier kann ich auch selber Komponenten austauschen. Die Anleitung findet man problemlos im Internet, die Teile auch und die sind nicht wirklich teuer. Die Bedienung mußte ich erstmal lernen, war aber kein Problem. Störend finde ich nur die etwas umständliche Screenshot - Funktion. Da war LG besser. Ist aber kein Grund nen Stern abzuziehen. Auch die Akkulaufzeit hat mich positiv überrascht. Auch nach einem halben Jahr hält er anstandslos, obwohl ich das Handy auch dienstlich viel nutze. Kurz: Top und das Geld wirklich wert.

Not meant for use in Canada. The software on this phone is very poor for myself and I think allot of other people in North America. There is also no help for north American customers from fairphone. Buyer beware
