This is an outstanding instant read thermometer. It has every feature, instant on, accurate temperature, magnets to attach to hood or bbq, and large digital read out, that I've wanted. I'm not sure if this item has ever been reviewed on America's Test Kitchen, but if it didn't come out on top it would certainly be a best buy. Truly great performance.

Not sure what type of review one could want here, it works great, stick it in the meat, or whatever and it gives you an instant read on the temp. Collapse it and it turns off. Seems to very durable as well. The magnet sticks to the fridge and makes it always easy to find.

Great probe, accurate to the T! As soon as you fold the probe it automatically turns itself on. Clear digital display, I recommend this probe. Instant readings that do t constantly climb every 2 seconds.

This rapid read thermometer works quickly, is a great value, with long battery life making it very dependable. Fits into your pocket for easy portability. Has great durability and will hold to a metal surface with built in magnets.

I love that this digital thermometer has a magnet on the back. I place it on my refrigerator side which is very convenient. It is easy to read, little weight, perfect griping size. Easy to clean, all you have to do is close and it automatically turn itself off. It is well made. With the long probe it is very accuracy, easy to use. I use it often in cooking. It takes the guesswork out of is it done . I used it the see how hot my water was for the yeast to activate. It was perfect. I personally would not immerse it in water to wash. I am not sure it is water proof. I do immerse the probe in hot soapy water and wash it thoroughly. I have not had the thermometer long enough to tell you about the life of the battery life. I would recommend to my friends and family.

Great thermometer. I love whipping this thing out, sticking in my meat and watching the temperature rise. I will say though that takes more than 0.5 secsonds to stabilize. Its a rapid rise but takes maybe 5 or more seconds. No buttons to press, just unfold, it automatically turns on and is ready to go. Either the reading is accurate or my oven is accurate because the reading was what my oven was set to. Cant rate the battery life just yet, but we'll see how that goes.

I started this review with everything l liked about this ThermoMonster thermometer, way to long. Here's my revised list: Upgrade sensor is a plus, big blue LCD display which is compatible for left and right handed users, motion-sensor shutoff, 100% waterproof (Tested) and the color options, makes this a no brainer for this price range. It just works, why pay more for a name brand. PS: This helps me put out some delicious dinners.

This unit has minimal features (it does have a 'hold' function to freeze the reading on the display) but works well. I don't know what use the Hold function has (maybe one wants to measure what's cooking and travel to their neighbor's house to share it), but at the cost of this thing I don't care. What I do care about is accuracy, previously owning a similar device that was grossly inaccurate, causing me to end up with several improperly cooked meals. In that regard, this unit seems very good, practically speaking, having no other means available to verify its calibration.

Nice clear display, seems very accurate, fairly easy to keep clean without damaging the electronics.

React quickly and seems to provide right temperature. Shut down when in rest and get back as soon as you move it, that's great! Really love it.
