## Description

The Eucharist: Mystery of Presence, Sacrifice, and Communion explores the three ends of the Sacrament of Sacraments: God's true presence, His redemptive sacrifice, and spiritual nourishment through communion with Him. In this follow-up to his groundbreaking work, Faith Comes From What Is Heard , Lawrence Feingold constructs a biblical vision of the Eucharist from its prefigurement in the Old Testament to its fulfillment in the New and presents the Eucharistic theology of the Church Fathers, St. Thomas Aquinas, and magisterial teaching from centuries past through today. The Eucharist is a masterful text, both challenging and spiritually rich, that comprehensively examines the unspeakable mystery that is the Eucharist.

Review: Exceptionally Rewarding - I am just an ordinary 65-year-old Catholic Kansan who loves the Eucharist. When I first stumbled upon this book, I couldn't wait to sink my teeth into it. What an exceptional reading experience! Dr. Feingold discusses the Eucharist and all that it means to the Catholic Church from numerous directions and perspectives with an engaging emphasis on the details that make it clear to the reader that the Church has put enormous amounts of thought and effort into her Eucharistic theology. This book should serve as the intellectual foundation of the Eucharistic revival now going on in the Catholic Church in America. If one finds the 607 pages of text daunting, I suggest taking a patient and prayerful approach to reading it. It is well worth the time and effort.
