I loved it, no more running out
I bought this pump back in 2013. I rigged a 24 footer box truck to drive expedite, interstate. My truck has a 150 gallon volvo diesel fuel tank installed in addition to two 50 gallon tanks that the truck came with. I had the 150 gallon tank installed after running few times out of fuel, and no any gas stations happened nearby, the cans with extra fuel I had, saved the day. Seeing that running interstate with just a total, of 100 gallons capacity is not cutting it, that's how I came to adding the 150 gallons tank, and once i did it, I loved it, no more running out, now I have fuel enough to get to the states with the best prices, nicely comfortable, whereas before i was just happy to get fuel, and would fuel anywhere, for whatever expensive, happy that I wasn't empty at least! That said something needed to transfer the fuel from the 150 gallons tank, to the trucks main tank.Decided to try this pump, rigged it in, made me a button right in the cab for it. This pump pumps fast, I have to have both tanks open, so the pressure does not build up in main tank, and vacuum in the 150 gallon tank. transferring just few gallons presents no need to have tanks open venting system handles small transfer anyhow. So this pump served me from 2013 and up till now. The switch is so, so. So I hot wired the pump not to mess with its switch, and in the cab have double switch for safety and one of them is a timer switch, even if I forget things ON, the timer switch is supposed to run out, and shut it off. The pump still works, still pumps, i am looking to buy one more for spare, just to have in the truck, because by now who knows if this old pump, even though still working, if it won't quit any time. But by now it had transfer/pumped me tens of tons of fuel, I am not kidding it did, and is still going. Ridiculously cheap, and proved reliable in my case. I transfer about 40 to 50 gallons at a time, from the big tank into the main, smaller 50 gallons tank. So far this pump has me happy, I just hope the spare I buy will be no fluke. This is real world review, from the very working field, I am not sponsored by anybody, and my review is the real deal!UPDATE. It is end of October 2019 and this pump is still running! Every year I drive like 60K miles, and it keeps transferring fuel from my added 150 gallons fuel tank, to the trucks main, 50 gallon tank.I installed this pump as a transfer on my truck at the fall of 2013 and it still runs! That added to the vehicle tank of 150 gallons was filled hundreds upon hundreds of times, and fuel then transferred to the smaller main tank, as I drive. This pump did all this work, and still keep going. I have a spare pump just in case with me on the truck now, but this first install just wouldn't die! I never expected it to survive so long, and deliver this much service, but I am very glad it still works!

Good Value, make sure you know how to problem solve
Used it out of the box to transfer 500 gallons of diesel, worked great. Was pumping head of 6 ft. I also extended/spliced 12 ft of 16gauge wire to the leads.Fast forward a month. I had it stored in a nice enclosed shed. The pump and lines were drained and stored on a shelf. Tried using it to transfer another 500 gl and nothing. Took the housing apart and checked the rotor and seals. Rotor was sticking, so cleaned vanes and rotor. Still didn't work. Had to clean the switch wire contacts. Then, t was off running again. Frustrating? yes took off one start for that. Good value? For me, yes.

This pump is a small wonder!
Given a few critical reviews among the positive ones, I was nervous to try this out. I'm pleased to report that it works very well. I used it to pump home heating oil (Diesel fuel) out of an underground tank. The lift was about 8 feet to the pump and then another 6 feet to the containers in a truck bed that were receiving the fuel. The first time I switched it on, I was stunned by how fast and effectively it self-primed. The fuel was up the 8 feet pickup tube, through the pump, and up the remaining 6 feet through about 9 feet of hose in about 2 seconds flat. As for the transfer rate, it dramatically outperformed it's advertised specifications. We filled 5-gallon containers in 20 seconds each using a 12 VDC source (the truck's battery). Some previous reviews spoke of wires getting hot and a power switch melting, so I held my hands on the pump at all times, checking the front of the pump housing, the motor casing, the wires, and the switch frequently. I never felt any heat at all. This was on a 65 degree day, so perhaps others used it in hotter weather, for longer periods of time, and with greater strain (pumping thicker oil, for example).I could not be more pleased with this product for its ease of use, portability, very high performance, and inexpensive price.

Overall a nice pump
I am having a hard time rating this pump as its initial performance is excellent and it self primes wonderfully. However, this pump is advertised as rated at 12vdc/10.6 GPM and per the instructions that came with it, is actually rated at that at 24VDC, with the 12VDC rating only 5 GPM. Also the 3/4" NPT fitting has a barbed fitting for 1" ID hose and would not match the 3/4" ID Goodyear fuel hose I purchased for this. A little more information from the seller would have been helpful.

Does not come with hose, they bush it up from 3/4, to 1" to achieve commercial rating
The pump seemes to be a decent enough pump, but they change the bored in/out and use bushings and nipples to go UP to 1" to achieve a commercial rating. This means instead of a normal $1.50 a foot fuel line, you have to use $5.00 a foot commercial multi hose........not a nice way to do things, or achieve a goal
