Search N' Rescue Orange Trapper Golf Ball Retreiver

This is my third retriever and this is the best I've owned. It's very easy to use, just put it over a ball and lift out. Even in murky water it is easy, you just have to feel the ball and push it down onto the ball. I've had the ones you have to turn, and they work OK, if you can see the ball. But often the cup hits something and will not turn to capture the gall. This retriever can lock the sections with a twist, making them rigid when necessary. I have never needed the full 15 foot length, but not I would want to fish for anything further away. Nice and light but sturdy and highly visible.

Folds up small, and easily expands to its full length. It fits easily into the long pocket of my golf bag, so I don't have to take up space where the clubs go.Works really well - not like the usual "cup" at the end of a stick. Good design.

The item delivered was not the item pictured. It was only 10 ft in length and did not have the locking rings shown in the picture. I returned the product.

When it worked It worked well. The main reason I bought this one was due to its compact size which allowed me to hide in my side pocket. I had it for about 6 months before it broke. Many times it would get stuck while trying to collapse/close it, which in turn caused the main retriever part to break. But the good news is that I retrieved enough balls with it to make up for the cost of purchase. I might buy it again or look for another compact size one.

Good retriever, folds small and fits inside bag instead of club slots. My first one came apart so I sent it in to the manufacturer and promptly received another, have to praise a company that stands behind it's products. Solid build with quality materials, not the usual Chinese junk. All in all good experience with this retriever.

the little thingy that is suppose to drop under the ball, doesn't. you have to flip it around to catch the ball under the thingy which stays on the top of the ball. the shaft bent the first time i used it. Oh, well.

I returned this one and bought the Search 'N Rescue MAX Hide Away Trapper Retriever, Silver/Orange, 18-Feet by the same company, because this model is not compact and will not collapse small enough to fit in the side compartment of a carry bag. It would be fine when taking a cart, but I walk and didn't want to try fit it in the top of my bag with my clubs.The mechanism for retrieving balls is the same as the one I bought, so I feel qualified to rate it. BTW, the mechanism takes some getting use to, but works well to retrieve balls. The device is well made and sturdy.
