I-dog Clip-White

after exhaustive searching, i finally found a claim in a patent dispute document that the I-dog Clip can listen to music played near it via an external mic (like the full sized I-dog*). It cannot. while i could not find a clear claim to the contrary on Amazon or any other vendor site, i thought this could be made more clear. this product does not include a mic. there is no mic. the mic is a lie.*** the I-dog clip is in fact significantly smaller than the head of a normal I-dog

As a fun item for kids, this is probably great, with the flashing lights and ears and all. However, I made the mistake of picking one up thinking that the clip would make it ideal to use with my old nano while doing housework.~ Bad idea. The sound was static-filled, the volume very low, and it was larger and heavier than I expected. And thee plastic clip, though large, looked quite fragile.I'll be going back to my old clip-less i-Home pop-up speakers - which, though they cost a bit more, deliver a higher-quality sound at louder volume, at half the weight, in a smaller package. And with a USB-rechargable battery. (The i-dog case needs to be opened with a Phillips screwdriver to change the AAA batteries.)So, in sum - the i-DOG is probably fun for kids - but if you're looking for a headphone alternative I'd look elsewhere.

I have three daughters, and my older two each received one of the bigger iDogs to go with their MP3 players last year. My 3 year old loved them, so for Christmas this year, she got this (much cheaper) version and a Barbie Girl MP3 player. I really didn't pay attention to the sound quality at all, I was just happy that I found a good compromise for her so she could feel included with the big kids. A few days after Christmas, my husband's MP3 speaker broke, and he borrowed her's for a little a bit so he could listen to his music while working. He said the sound quality was actually decent. It wouldn't blow the roof off the house or anything, but for just listening to music in a room, it was good. It's held up really well when you take into account that it's owned by a 3 1/2 year old. She loves it, and uses it to listen to music every night at bedtime, and in the car. And I also like that we don't have to deal with headphones or earbuds on her little ears. My only complaint would be the clip. It doesn't really grasp tightly, and therefore doesn't hold well. We rarely use it. Otherwise, I really like the product!

Purchased for my 8 and 11 year old children. They both love it. It is compact with a sturdy clip. The sound quality lacks especially if you turn it up but the kids aren't that sophisticated with their listening preferences yet. Not for a teen with queality sound in mind but great for the kids.

I bought this to use while running. i don't like earbuds because you sometimes can't hear approaching vehicles. I saw this originally in a toy store but when I returned it was gone. I think this is great.

Simply put I bought two of these, they are adorable. I only used it for music a couple times, but it worked just fine. I mostly bought it because I love Idogs!

This was a gift for my niece and she loves it. I'm very happy with it as well. I'll definitely purchase from this seller in the future. Thanks Hasbro

this pooch passed my expectations. the sound quality is really good for the size of it! it is almost as good as the idog dance and is better than the ipod soft speaker. i would recommend it.
