Review: A Compact Gem in the World of Rock Polishing - After several weeks of hands-on experience with the Leegol Electric Single Drum 3LB Rock Polisher, I'm ready to delve into the nitty-gritty of what makes this machine a worthy addition to any hobbyist's collection. This single barrel rock tumbler is designed for those who are either just beginning their journey into rock tumbling or seasoned veterans looking for a reliable, compact unit. Pros: Ease of Use: The Leegol Electric Rock Tumbler is remarkably user-friendly, making it a perfect entry point for beginners. Its simple operation allows for an easy start with minimal setup time, ensuring that users of all skill levels can begin their tumbling projects without a steep learning curve. Compact and Durable Design: The size of this rock tumbler is a significant advantage for those with limited space. Its compact design does not sacrifice durability; the machine feels sturdy and well-built, capable of handling continuous use without issues. Efficient Polishing: With a 3-pound capacity, this single barrel polisher is surprisingly efficient. It consistently produces smooth, polished stones, reflecting its effectiveness in tumbling a variety of rock types. The included instructions offer valuable tips for achieving the best results, which is particularly helpful for newcomers to the hobby. Quiet Operation: Compared to many other rock tumblers in the market, the Leegol Electric Rock Tumbler operates relatively quietly. This is a significant advantage for users who live in shared spaces or prefer to run their tumbler for extended periods without the disturbance of loud noise. Cons: Single Barrel Limitations: The single barrel design, while efficient and space-saving, limits the amount of rocks you can polish at one time. For those looking to undertake larger projects or tumble different types of rocks simultaneously, this might be a constraining factor. Long Polishing Times: As with most rock tumblers, patience is a virtue. The tumbling process can take several weeks from start to finish, which might test the patience of users eager to see immediate results. This is not a flaw of the Leegol Electric Rock Tumbler per se but rather a general consideration for newcomers to rock tumbling. Manual Water and Grit Replacement: The process requires manual intervention to change the water and add grit between stages, which might be a bit tedious for some users. However, this is a common aspect of rock tumbling and something that enthusiasts grow accustomed to. Final Thoughts: The Leegol Electric Single Drum 3LB Rock Polisher is a solid choice for anyone looking to get into rock tumbling or needing a compact, reliable machine for smaller projects. Its ease of use, efficient polishing capability, and quiet operation make it stand out in its category. While the single barrel design and the inherent nature of rock tumbling's time-consuming process might be minor drawbacks, they are far outweighed by the machine's overall performance and value. Whether you're polishing stones for jewelry, educational purposes, or simply as a hobby, the Leegol Electric Rock Tumbler is a gem worth considering.
Review: Great product for the price - I typically don’t write reviews, however, I thought this product deserved one. I have done 5 cycles of week 1 at this point. That is a full 5 weeks of straight running. I have given breaks in between my cycles, but this thing is a champ. The first few runs were very squeaky so I highly recommend oiling before use, once this thing is oiled it is very quite.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can Petoskey stones be tumbled?**
A: Petosky stones are best polished by hand, using increasingly finer grits of sandpaper. You can then rub a small amount of TurtleWax car polish on it with a soft cloth, piece of denim or piece of leather. Or you can spray them with a clear acrylic sealer. Harder stones are best for tumblers. And use similar hardness of stones in each batch (like one batch mostly agates or jaspers, etc.). Too soft of stones mixed with harder ones can cause the smaller stones to break down into tiny pieces instead of polish. If you're new to rock tumbling, look up the Moh's Hardness Scale if you know the type of rock you are tumbling (quick general is that agates are not see through or translucent, while jaspers, quartz, etc IS translucent (light can pass through).

**Q: Does it really have a lifetime warranty? I have purchased items on Amazon and elsewhere a with lifetime warranty and manufacturer ignores all requests**
A: Yes,the rock tumbler really have a lifetime warranty.

**Q: Can you reuse the walnut shell media?**
A: Yes, you can keep using it. It will, however, become less effective as it gets dirty.

**Q: what is the trick for getting the lid sealed on the drum? I am unable to get the lid seated on the drum: force, petroleum jelly, hammer.**
A: Make sure no debris are on the sealing area, then push the lid into drum by pulling on edge at times. Then the lid and nut exert pressure keeping contents sealed. New drums require a dab of work as they are stiff.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Don't waste your money
*by V***! on October 9, 2024*

Bad construction. Have to tweak machine right out of box to get to operate. Belts break super easily. Had to come back to edit this post. Ive had this tumbler for nearly 2 years now. After some tweaks this thing is AWESOME! I've had it running for almost a year straight with no problems. It's does go through belts at an insane rate. That's more the belts. Anyway, my wife bought me a Lortone for my birthday and the thing is out of commission sitting in my work bench waiting for parts. However, this tumbler has a batch in it right now. Im not sure if it is maybe one of the tweaks I made but this things tumble speed is very slow. I love it. For someone less patient they may want a faster tumbler. I find this is a great tumbler for polish stage and when my other tumbler was working that's what I used it for. Anyway, I had to eat crow and update my review.
