After looking over all the reviews I decided to purchase this product. It arrived on time and after unboxing the product the product looked to be of good quality. Fit my iPad nicely, connected via blue tooth quickly and worked perfectly, but this product doesn't have an indicator LED on the keyboard to let you know if its on or not and no indication to let you know the blue tooth is on or working... but after talking to customer service, he explained that the keyboard lights up and my contrast was all the way down. It also has a few different colors to choose from.Just after a week of owning this device I was out on my deck early one morning with my iPad, I went inside to get a cup of coffee and it started to rain heavily. By the time I got to my iPad (within a few seconds) the keyboard was soaking wet... I brought my iPad in and tilted it sideways into the sink to drain off the water and there was quite a bit of water in the keyboard. I tried to use keyboard and strange symbols came up. I removed the keyboard from my iPad and used a small shop-vac to suck out the remaining water and stored it in a large zip lock bag with rice and several silicon bags for several days to dry up the keyboard. After 5 days I connected the keyboard again with the iPad and turned it on and tried to connect to blue tooth. I took several tries to connect (error connection failed) and after several tries iPad finally connected to blue tooth. I tested out the keyboard again and some keys would not type and some keys typed funky symbols. I called customer service and explained what had happened and he said my Zagg has a 1 year warranty and they will replace it free of charge. He is shipping a brand new Zagg with a prepaid return label, he said that they will charge my CC until they get the damaged keyboard returned and will credit my CC.Awesome Customer Service....

This is my 3rd rugged book case. The first one i bought lasted all but 3 month before keyboard hinge broke. Called zagg and they replaced it right away with a whole new unit. I had the second one for 3 years until rubber started pealing from plastic and the battery on my keyboard gave out. It protected my iPad so well and keyboard worked so good for me over the last 3 years that there was no question in my mind that i was going to buy the same case again. I work at manufacturing plants through out the country. Its a dirty job that requires me to document large complex and often very dirty machinery. My iPad falls frequently it gets covered in hydraulic fluid, greese and oil. Thanks to this case my iPad still works and looks like brand new.

This case is true to its description, it's durable and rugged and has weight to it. If you are accustomed to light covers on your Ipad, this case will surprise you with its weight, mind you it has a keyboard it's not just a cover. I haven't dropped it so I can't attest to its durability (lol) but I did take it on a trip in my backpack and it survived being jostled in the overhead storage, car trunk and a few hikes. The keypad so far is working out perfectly, I have only charged it once and a month later it was still charged. I charged it again for a trip just in case it was low, (better to be safe than sorry). The only moan I have is I wish it was a little lighter in weight, with this keyboard/case it definitely becomes more of laptop than Ipad, but I would still buy it and I recommend it for what it is.

I purchased this case for my aging iPad Air 2 after I had worn out several cheaper ones that had bad key contacts and bluetooth connection problems.As I am not a touch typist, backlighting was a key feature to me since I often use in the dark while in bed or traveling. The backlighting is more than sufficient but not bright enough to be distracting. The fit is perfect and the exterior protection for the device feels really substantial however do not intend to drop it as a test! A friend recently broke her screen with a small small drop reminding me of the added value of a case. Bluetooth connection was seamless and estimated battery life is phenomenal - I have so far been using for a month without recharging. Since I often use my iPad for reading music on stage, having a detachable screen without sacrificing case protection is a huge bonus.My only minor negative comment is that although the keys feel rugged and tactile, they make a bit more noise than other keyboards I have had which could be disturbing if you type beside a sensitive sleeper in bed.All in all though I am pleased I spent the extra cost for a sturdy case.

I had my first rugged book die earlier this year after 3 years of extended use; the spine of it was done. I used the hell out of it. I also have the keyboard (which I love) which essentially turns my iPad into a mini-laptop. When the spine went, and could not be repaired, I went back to the tried-and-true. I can't tell you how many airplane rides, car rides, vacations, etc. this thing has been through. Yep, it's heavy. I can't say it's bullet-proof, but it works for me.

My partner was having issues updating her old iPad. I decided to fire up and update it over wired connection. I decided to fire up my old Sony laptop that runs most all of my iTunes backups. It’s my old and reliable.The update took forever but once I clean stalled iOS 15 I could easily fire up a few cloud apps like google keep and calendar for all of my daily needs.The battery life is excellent and the clean black look has no issues blending in with. The rest of my amazing gear.The keyboard is comfy and the keys are quite springy and don’t have a typical mushy feel like my MacBook Air. They are not backlit but you are still getting a great keyboard on the go.I absolutely love the multi tasking and lock buttons on the top of the numbers row. Easily, the best implement feature and again the battery life just can’t be beaten.

I'm in love <3 This is THE best case I've ever had. Funny story: I had a Zagg ruggedfolio for my iPad Air 1. It lasted beautifully for about 4 years until I spilled water all over the keys like a dummy. After that I could not afford a new one, so I bought some no-name keyboard case to use. Within 6 months, 3 of the keys had rubbed off, it was skipping numbers and letters and was just generally horrible. So when I got sick of that crap I dished out for a new Rugged Book. Needless to say, I LOVE this case with a passion!!! So durable, heavy but worth it for the amount this keyboard does, and all-around awesome! I like it so much I told my uncle about it and he got one for his iPad too. Love <3 <3 <3

This is my second one - the first lasted close on 5 years to the day! I use it daily and tend to be a bit rough with stuff and this is brilliant- only reason for one less star is new design is a bit different and I prefer the old one - the keyboard is slightly different so I’m still adjusting. Highly recommend this product.

Yes. This product DOES work with the new Ipad 6th Generation. Zagg Model A97RGK-BB0. That was my big question before buying it. All of the holes line up and you can use the camera. Keyboard surface is good with raised keys like a proper keyboard. I type properly so this was important to me. The only improvement would be a built in screen protector. Otherwise, it feels like it is fairly durable.After typing on it for a bit, I see one more thing that could be improved. There is a slight lip around the edge of the keyboard. This gets uncomfortable after typing for a while.
