L50 Ultra Robot Vacuum with Dual Laser & AI RGB Navigation

One week review. I bought it because a friend recently came to Houston and is staying in my apartment for a while. I have cats and there is fur everywhere. He has a Dreame at his own home, so I got this US version. Mapping is fast. I dont need to manually correct the map as it will calibrate during working. It can mark where pet is and its odd. The suction is really strong. I used my carpet cleaner before running this and thought the carpet was already pretty clean. But it still picked up a lot of cat hair and fine dust. Kind of surprised how much was still inside the carpet. Battery is durable; my units is 1b1b, it can clean twice once it's fully charged. I also had a cheaper $200+ robot before and it always got stuck on the cord from my air purifier. Super annoying. This one has been much better. It sees the cord and other stuff on the floor and usually just goes around it. I don't have to rescue it all the time. So i feel this high price is fine I dont know if it would be cheaper in Black Friday. It knows when it is on carpet or hard floor too. The app is well designed and pretty cool. It can recognize my pets and I can use the camera to check where my cats are when I'm working.

I’m really impressed with the Dreame L60 Pro Ultra. The suction is powerful, and it does a great job picking up dust, crumbs, and everyday debris. The mopping performance is also excellent, and I love that the base station handles so much of the cleaning and maintenance automatically. It navigates around furniture and obstacles very well and makes keeping the floors clean much easier. The app is easy to use, and the overall design feels premium. A great choice if you want a powerful, convenient, and low-maintenance robot vacuum!

I absolutely love this machine! I bought the L50 Ultra right before Thanksgiving 2025, and wow — it has completely changed my home. During the first week, I ran this robot vacuum every day, sometimes multiple times a day, testing different settings and figuring out the best cleaning schedules for our household. We’re a family of five (three kids, two adults), plus a dog and a cat, so seven total — and this has easily been the best investment I’ve ever made for my home. The vacuuming is excellent and the mopping works extremely well. What surprised me at first was that while the cleaning was good, it wasn’t perfect right away. The robot clearly learns your home over time. The more it ran, the better it became — both in cleaning performance and navigation. Even two months later, I still see it improving. Our home has three carpeted bedrooms, a large living room rug, kitchen mats, and tile flooring that looks like wood, and it handles every surface perfectly. Initially, the battery life seemed a little low, but that also improved with use. I’m not sure why Dreame products behave this way, but I noticed the same thing with my Dreame Z30 stick vacuum — battery life was short at first and then got better over time. Either way, I can’t complain. The L50 Ultra will vacuum the dining room, living room, kitchen, both hallways, and laundry room in about 60 minutes, then mop those same areas in another 70 minutes, and still finish with around 25% battery remaining. The suction power is honestly unbelievable. When I first bought this, I was also considering purchasing an air purifier because of pet hair and dust — my dog sheds moderately and my cat sheds a lot. Since running this vacuum daily, I no longer feel the need for an air purifier. It does such a great job removing dust and debris that there’s practically nothing left in the air. I run scheduled cleanings every day, and each schedule vacuums first and then mops: • 8:30 AM – Living room (vacuum → mop) This area includes the litter box and the back door where the dogs go in and out in the morning. • 2:30 PM – Main house cleaning (vacuum → mop) Kitchen, dining room, hallways, and surrounding areas. • Nighttime – Full house cleaning (vacuum → mop) Runs after the kids are in bed so everything is clean for the next day. This robot has been a complete game changer for our home. If I could rate it 10 out of 5, I absolutely would.

I wanted to love the Dreame L50 Ultra robot vacuum, but alas, it was not meant to be. I received my first unit and set it up eagerly. The initial mapping run went smoothly—I named rooms, divided areas, and backed everything up. But one day, without explanation, the map vanished, and so did my backup. Frustrating, but I re-mapped. This time, the layout skewed 45 degrees sideways. The app's rotation option only allowed 90-degree adjustments, which didn't help. I re-ran mapping multiple times, always with the same skew. Customer support kicked in after I reached out. They guided me through basic troubleshooting, then pushed a trial firmware update (version unspecified) that fixed the rotation. However, they couldn't recover my lost maps or settings—I'd redone the house layout three times by then. Kudos to their team: polite, timely responses, and appreciative of my patience. Still, schedules and customizations reset spontaneously, with no restore option. More issues piled on. The docking station struggled to empty the vacuum's bin fully—I often had to do it manually. Hair and debris clogged the pathway to the dust bag. While the roller brush never tangled (a real plus), it left hair clumps on the floor instead of vacuuming them up. Not ideal for homes with shedding dogs or long-haired folks. Support deemed this abnormal after reviewing my videos and photos, suggesting a return to Amazon for a replacement. The second unit mapped without skew, but 30 minutes into its first run, the right wheel failed. I was done. On the bright side, mopping was quiet and effective in spots, though it couldn't tackle a dried ice cream stain even after six passes. **Pros:** - Excellent customer service: Responsive, polite, timely. - Quiet mopping operation. - Roller brush doesn't tangle with hair. **Cons:** - Mapping issues: Vanished maps/backups; 45-degree skew (firmware-fixed but no recovery). - Spontaneous resets: Lost settings, rooms, schedules. - Debris extraction: Dock fails to empty bin; clogs with hair/debris; leaves clumps on floor (bad for pets/long hair). - Hardware failure: Second unit's wheel stopped early. - Mopping limits: Poor on dried stains. **Conclusion:** Disappointed despite premium price. After cleaning, it returns to the base station to empty dust automatically, and it can also clean the mop. This makes it almost fully hands-free, which is perfect if you want a low-maintenance setup. The app is user-friendly and gives you a lot of control. You can set cleaning zones, no-go areas, schedules, and different modes. Being able to start cleaning remotely before getting home is a really nice touch. Battery life is solid as well. It can handle a full cleaning session, and if it runs low, it goes back to recharge and then resumes where it left off. I’m very happy with this robot vacuum. It cleans really well, picks up dust, hair, and debris easily, and does a great job on different floor surfaces. The navigation is smart and it gets around furniture without much trouble. I especially love the self-cleaning features because they save me a lot of time and effort. It has made keeping my floors clean so much easier. Definitely worth it and I would highly recommend it!

I have been an owner/user of robot vacs for years. I have a large house and usually have two robots in action each day. I have been a long time fan of Roombas in the past but this new Dreame L50 Ultra machine blows everything away that I have owned and tried. I mentioned that I have a large house. My house also has a lot of furniture, obstacles, and pets. Some of the obstacles are in hallways and there are lots of chairs like bar stools, and dining room chairs. I was skeptical that the Dreame L50 would be able to do a decent job but decided to give it a try. Wow! Call me impressed. I received it last night, downloaded the app, got it connected, filled with water and cleaner, and let it charge. Using the app, I set a schedule to run every night (after we go to bed). The robot successfully mapped AND cleaned (mopping and vacuuming) the entire floor space that it could reach on the first go. The "Clean genius" (Dreame's AI) was awesome, sensing dirty high traffic areas and applying the proper cleaning methods to make everything spotless. When we got up in the morning and inspected the floors, my wife commented that the floors were sparkling clean (and she is not easily impressed). Setup of the machine and equipment was extremely easy and fast. I had the entire thing unboxed, on the base, filled with water and cleaner, and connected to the app in about 30 minutes. I found the app easy to navigate and understand and extremely responsive. Every time I made a choice in the app, the robot almost instantly gave an audible response confirming the choice. This was also true during connection to the wifi through the app as well. The app walks you through the connection process and it worked flawlessly with no ambiguity or guess work. It also connected almost instantly. The clean and dirty water reservoirs are super easy to access and fill/empty as well. Cleanser filling was equally easy. This machine was extremely well designed and engineered (I am an aerospace engineer btw). Everything went together smoothly and I did not have a single issue with any part of the setup. Simply awesome. When I emptied the dirty water the next day I was surprised at how dirty the water was. We have the vac set up to vacuum and mop every day and will keep it that way until we start getting mostly clean waste water. At that point we plan to decrease the mopping frequency. I can't say enough about how well this machine works. Well worth the (admittedly) high price we paid. The Dreame L50 ultra has my highest recommendation.

TLDR: Great for households with just adults and maybe a small child. I think this would struggle with a house with pets that shed. I would recommend this for anyone though; if you have kids/shedding creatures, you will just have to do more maintenance on it. I have had the Dreame L50 Ultra for over 2 months and I love him...I call him Herbie...yes he has a name, as he's like a little robot pet that cleans for you. I put him together myself and had hm up and running in about 20 minutes. I hooked him up to the app and off he went. Mapping: 10/10 First thing he does is map the house, which is very entertaining to watch. I followed him around for a bit like he was a toddler. He got very close to the stairs going to the lower level and he self adjusted, and didn't fall to his death. I use him on the main level of the house, which is about 2200sq ft and it took him a bit to do the whole thing. You can edit things over time if you want, and backup the map as well. Navigating the terrain: 6/10 After the mapping, I sent him forth to vacuum the downstairs. He navigated everything extremely well. Then we got a different table and chairs, and he didn't self adjust and got stuck underneath one of the chairs and we had to rescue him. He also has some sort of weird issue at the moment that if I tell him to go just solely mop my bathroom, he thinks he can't get there...I get the obstacle in the way' message, and he doesn't leave his little space in the pantry. If I set him to vac/mop combo or solely vacuum, he has no issue. I think this is something I am going to have to troubleshoot. Vacuuming: 9/10 I have zero pets or children at my lake house and usually there are only 2-3 adults here usually. He does a great job at small things, but you have to have him run the course at least twice to get it properly clean. My dark wood floor shows every spec of dirt/salt granule etc. If we have a lot of visible things on the floor, we run him across that area 3 times. My husband spilled a bit of rice on the carpet from a take out and he did a good job of picking that up, which I was impressed with. Note that he makes VACUUM TRACKS. They aren't always even if he's going around furniture, but you can tell when he's gone across the carpet. I think Herbie would struggle with my other house and the four dogs that live there. Mopping: 9/10 You can set him to do deeper cleans with extra water. The only way Herb mops properly is if you crank it up to almost the highest water output setting. It does a good job when the water level is set correctly. Is he as good as a real human cleaner...not quite, but he cleaned up a dried spill of tea on wood floor perfectly. He does a great job on flat surfaces. My bathroom floor is a marble herringbone (small rectangular pieces) and he doesn't do the greatest job around the shower floor drain, as it slopes, but it does a good job on the rest and the marble shines. Because we crank up the water usage, he needs his water chambers refilled and emptied every two to three washes. Battery life: 9/10 This guy can do the whole downstairs on one pass vacuum on one charge, or to do the combo vac/mop at the same time. Deep cleaning / 2x + cycles he needs to charge in between, which he will do on his own, and then he will resume cleaning. App: 8/10 The app that goes with it is mostly intuitive. There are some teething issues with the map editing, but that may be a me problem for not googling a solution yet. Note I am tech savvy, my job is in tech and I have built a computer and design apps, etc., so it should be intuitive without me having to Google it, hence the 8/10. Verdict: This is a great robot vacuum. I bought him because it was the number 1 on the Vacuum Wars website (they do extremely thorough reviews). My cleaner was weekly and had to stop due to an injury, Herbie was paid off in a month...I just wish he did windows.

You could easily spend $2000 on a robot vacuum and another $500–$2000 on a robot mop, and still not get this level of performance and convenience. This unit combines both and does it seamlessly, which makes it a much smarter investment in my opinion. We’re a busy household with two dogs (one heavy shedder), a cat, and I have long curly hair—so there’s always hair everywhere. The fact that this vacuum can handle all of that without constantly clogging or jamming is seriously impressive. The dual brush system really makes a difference, and it just keeps going without giving up like others I’ve used in the past. One of my favorite features is how hands-off it is. The unit empties itself, washes its own mop pads, and manages the dirty and clean water. It might sound like small tasks, but when you’re working long days or shifts, those things add up. You can tell it’s a high-quality machine right from the start, and it arrived in perfect condition despite how packages can sometimes be handled during delivery. Overall, this is a high-end, low-maintenance cleaning system that truly delivers. Between the powerful suction, tangle-free brushes, self-cleaning features, and smart navigation, it has completely replaced my old setup—and exceeded my expectations. Cleans and mops very well, battery is massively lacking though to mop and vacuum 572 square feet it took the battery down to 29% on genius cleaning mode. This is with the vacuum on low power unless it detects a lot of dirt it needs to clean up with more power. Although this cleaned my whole first floor of my house it should not have used this much battery for a 91 minute cleaning job. Was able to avoided all obsticals with no issues and there was a lot with having 3 kids and pets! It did not go in the bathroom and had to send it back out for that area and only did half the master bedroom. I have only done one run so far and looking online it improves with it's mapping as it does more runs. Update: second run left 50% battery changed to 5* also impressed that the first room cleaned is my kitchen and office, I moved my office chair by the back door for it to be able to clean under and around my desk better. It cleaned the shole house then after finishing the bathroom I was expecting it to say clean complete and return to the dock but it actually came back to my office and checked if the chair was moved and finished cleaning by the back door where I had moved the chair to.

I like that it cleans and dries the mop automatically, so I don’t have to touch dirty pads. The auto-empty feature is another time saver—the dustbin really does last a couple of weeks before I need to change the bag. Navigation is precise. It avoids toys and chair legs without bumping into things, and the mapping was quick and accurate. The app is easy to use, and I can set no-go zones or schedule cleanings without hassle. Overall, this feels like a premium robot vacuum. It’s not cheap, but if you want something that truly minimizes manual work, it’s worth the investment.
