Sound of China Rosewood Guzheng with Chinese Painting

OK, so I don't write Amazon reviews often. But since nobody gave any detailed review bout this product, I figured it's time to write one.Reason for one star is several.1, terrible engraving on the surface, cheaply carved and my 4 year old nephew can do better than that.2, after finally set up the whole thing and took several classes. One thing that stands out most is the sound it produced. The mid and lower tones are terrible. Every stroke comes with a buzz. Really a pain in the ear.3, string is super soft to press, not sure it's the build quality or what, vibration is difficult to control.4, after 4 months painful experience I decided to return it. And obviously it's too late for em already.So that's all for this "Amazon's choice". If you just look for a 300+ dollars play thing for kid. here you go. But if you plan to learn some music, don't even bother with this one. Listen to what your sensei suggests.

Beautiful sound for the money, easy to play, lots of great youtube tutorials... just be patient in the set-up stage--breaking strings is never fun on any stringed instrument. The sound really is incredible, especially on the low fundamentals. I'm already rationalizing why I really ought to buy another guzheng from this maker....

Great beginner model. Quality construction, beautiful as a display piece. Easy setup and was shipped well for the size and type of package. Also youtube guide videos on setup available which are easy to understand. Complete package with all the accessories to get started.
