can the pump run 24 hours 7 days a week or do you have to shut down pump daily for rest. If yes for how many hours daily you have to switch off?

Yes you can run the Machine for 24 Hours. The Machine remains cool even if you use it Non- Stop. But I suggest if your Patient is able to sit / stand, Give the machine a break till the Patient is out from the Bed.I have been using the Machine in the above manner for the Last 1 Year & There is no Problem till now.But if your Patient is Completely Bedridden, Keep the Machine On- 24/7.The Reason is the purpose of buying this Machine has to be met, Your Patient shouldn't Suffer in any Manner.All the best.. Take Care..

How much electricity does an air mattress use if the pump is on day and night?

I can't give an exact consumption but I run it 24x7 and found no change in my usual electricity bill.
