Excellent tool
Received today, very pleased with it. Strong as an ox, no-nonsense piece of kit. I needed this to battle the vegetation which has developed over the last 20 years under my cattle grid which would have cost a bomb to have lifted and cleared out professionally. The shovel is superbly angled and really sharp and stands no truck with tough ivy roots and the like. The extra-long handle is very handy, saves you bending.I've looked for years for a shovel narrow enough to fit between the cattle grid bars (4.8") then this came along at 4" Manna from heaven. It looks like it'll fetch a neat trench out in no time if you need to lay a cable or pipe, without digging half the garden up. It could be a useful tool to have in your armoury even if you don't need it at present, cause one day you will. So if you're pondering, just get one, you wont be sorry.

All good seems good quality
It works well, not much more to say, it’s a good spade for a narrow trench, well built too!

Typical roughneck tool
Typical roughneck tool, overbuilt means its a little heavier than an alternative item but its a good design and works well.Shaft was damaged on mine during delivery which was disappointing but i have used these before in work and the design means they are very effective diggers, a lot more versatile than you would expect and more use than just trenching, its a precision digging tool, recommended for any gardener working around existing plants .

Brilliant quality trenching shovel used again and again
Good length and solid handle and grip. Used for digging trenches between conifers for irrigation systems. I guess it could be used for anything really. Our soil is heavy clay and this cuts through it like butter. Ordinary spades make heavy work of it but this is quite narrow and very sharp so makes the job easy.

Well made
This tool is so worth getting if your planning on digging a trench !I had to dig out a 60 cm deep trench 8m long to lay cables in my back garden, this along with other tools used saved the day , as the handle is long and the end spade element is at the right angle you find yourself not bending over so much, as I do have a weak lower back this really helped . As thought came across lots of rubble , so do be afraid to use this tool to batter the rubble and get it out .

Makes digging trenches so
Really useful tool for digging of trenches. Had an amazing plan to dig trench for new electric for my garage. This has been really useful for removal of soil and making the path for trench. It has made things so much easier. Albeit still really hard work for a non gardener.

Needed for electrical cable being installed at back of garden.
Helped me out massively with digging a new trench, good long handle so didn't end up with massive back ache. good robust quality piece of equipment. will come in handy again soon on future projects
