I was looking for a decent fan. I wasn't interested in the bladeless as I never really rated them that much but in the same thought did not want a cheap rickety one that would keep me awake at night. I surprised myself by spending this amount of money on a fan but it did have one of the highest ratings and best descriptions on Amazon. Design is small and compact. Aesthetically it reminded me of a small version of women's hair dryers that they used to put over their head in hairdressers. Almost helmet shaped. It comes with a remote which magnetically attaches to front of fan when your not using it. You can use the remote or the fan itself to control it and the controls are straightforward. It looks good, not like a traditional fan. I bought it when it was 23 degrees on a night but when it arrived the temperature droped to a much more pleasant of 18 or 19 degrees. Because of this I have only had it on level 1 which is as powerful as other fans I have had. It has many levels above this which are much stronger, but even 1 provides a draft to the other side of the room although not overpowering at close distance. Comfortable. What makes this one special however is that not only does it swing left to right, it also moves up and down. And that means it cools the whole room, not just the area it's pointing. It is also very quiet, and whilst you can here a quiet hum in the dead of night, it is barely noticable, even on higher levels. Fantastic value for nonry

Wow!!! Excellent in every way. Not cheap but worth it.... Highly recommended. Very quiet, a practical remote control that can be stored on the fan. Alot of options to customise exact airflow. Great for use on hot evenings overnight. Very good quality all round.

Lucky you. You have stumbled upon the answer to your fan problems.. Something very different about Meaco items. Classy. Well made. Do the job fantastically well. It’s really quiet. Kind of like the sound you’re hearing is the sound of air being moved rather than components moving.. the approximate size of a basketball is a fair one with a sleek base and the LED display elegantly displayed against the black plastic. Phone can be controlled from the unit itself or from the nifty round remote control that sits magnetically in the middle of the fan. It has a sturdy leather grab handle at the top and has a full range of oscillating movements from almost directly up at the ceiling down to ankle level and probably 170° I guess from site to side these can be adjusted to your requirements independently of each other. It has 12 levels and you can fill the difference between each level unlike cheaper fans where the only difference seems to be an increase in noise. The higher settings will blow a piece of paper across the room. I want sat in a hot room. You will definitely feel the difference it makes in a relatively short timing I live primarily as a digital nomad and I’m the hottest days the vehicle can get pretty warm despite the insulation and this thing easily cools down the entire living area without making too much noise about it On maximum setting with full oscillation going it will pull about 35 W which is about the same as charging a laptop when it’s switched off This won’t make any difference. or mean anything if you live in a house of course, but being mobile means that the Meaco electricity overhead is easily covered by a 200w solar panel. I genuinely used to own a Dyson (I think it was called a 004 or something) and it was far more greedy on electric no less noisy and cost four times more. This Meaco is the real deal and for once the reviews on Amazon don’t seem to be bots or people with low expectations. Like the title says don’t hesitate. If and when it reaches the end of its life, I would just buy another one immediately.

I was looking for a new fan, we had a tower fan that was so loud, honestly thought a 747 was taking off, I was looking at the Dyson fan but read reviews that they were quite noisy so I investigated a bit more and came across the meaco..... It's fabulous, it's so quiet so we can have it in the bedroom and it does cool the room too not just when it's on you, very stylish looking and a perfect size.... So glad I did not go with a Dyson

I'll start by saying that this fan is almost perfect. I was surprised at how quiet this fan operated. We have ours sitting near the TV in the living room and it's almost inaudible at the lowest settings. That's without the TV being switched on. With the TV switched on, the fan only really starts to get more noticeable at the higher settings. This has been absolutely fine for us as the air flow this fan produces, even at the lower speeds, is very effective in cooling you down. The only worry i've had is that, in the last year of having this fan, we recently noticed a slight whirring noise when using the vertical and horizontal oscillation together. After a week, the whirring stopped without intervention though it's now on my radar and something i'll need to keep an eye (ear?) on. Speaking of the oscillation, the movement of this fan is very smooth and I quite like the vertical oscillation option. However, nothing beats just focusing the airflow directly at your face! You can control the fan from either the base or the remote - all the functions are on both. The controls on the base are led lit and these dim a short while after any interaction (either via the remote or directly on the base). A nice touch if you're planning on using this fan in the bedroom. We don't really move ours though, on the odd occasion where we've been moving furniture, the fan has a handle which makes it easy to carry around. About the remote (I did say this fan is "almost" perfect)... The remote magnetically attaches to the front of the fan which is handy if, like me, you're the type that constantly loses remotes. It's a neat circular remote but very flat and i have lost it behind the sofa a couple of times. The real bugbear i have with the remote is that it really needs a direct line of sight with the infrared receiver on the base unit. So much so that, most of the time, i have to wait for the fan to oscillate in my direction before i can get the remote to work. People outside must look in and think i'm having a private rap battle given how much i'm waving my arms getting the remote to work. The above point about the remote is really the only negative point i have. As i said, the whirring noise sorted itself out after about a week and, as much as this fan deserves 5 stars, being unable to use the remote easily is the only reason (as it's annoying enough) to drop it one star. I do hope Meaco sorts out this issue but, in all honesty, you'd be hard pressed to find something better without spending considerably more and, even then, i don't think i'd want to trade it in. All in all, a great fan.

I was skeptical about this but it’s actually brilliant. There are multiple power levels and the bottom two are pretty much silent so perfect for a bedroom. Theres a night mode where the screen also turns off so no annoying light on all night. You can also determine how much it oscillates so it can be narrow to just blow a small area, or wide to cool a whole room. Very pleased with it so far and quarter of the price of a Dyson

Very powerful fan! Amazed at how quiet it is too! Easy to control! Battery life is exceptional. Overall build quality very good. The only thing is it is quite large so check the dimensions before you buy.

Not cheap, but worth it. It’s extremely quiet and powerful. The fact you can use it outside (using it’s rechargeable battery) is amazing and it has a remote that is magnetised to the middle part of the fan so you don’t lose it.

La mia mamma anzianissima e allettata, ha spesso caldo ma non tollera i rumori. Comprato questo con grande esborso, ma avuto successo oltre le aspettative. E' diventato una confortevole compagnia silenziosa e rinfrescante per le sue notti lunghe e tristi. Telecomando un pochino piccolo e affollato di comandi, ma per fortuna il pulsante On/Off è in centro e abbastanza raggiungibile. Contento.

I have the desktop one I bought on woot a couple years ago. Way to big for a desk so I have it on a tall shelf. Got this pedestal fan recently and love it! They rotate how ever you want and works well to cool down my home. Worth the money and plan on getting another.
