I genuinely couldn’t be more impressed with this fan. From the moment I switched it on, I could tell it was in a different league. It’s incredibly quiet, even on higher settings, yet produces such a powerful, smooth airflow that cools the whole room in minutes. The build quality feels premium, the design is sleek and modern, and I love how compact it is without compromising on performance. The remote control, timer and multiple speed settings make it effortless to use, and the oscillation distributes air beautifully throughout the room. What surprised me most is just how whisper-quiet it is. I can comfortably watch TV, work or sleep with it on, which wasn’t possible with my previous fans.

Firstly...let me set the scene. I have several health conditions that make it difficult to regulate temperature, so I overheat really easily. Not like I get a little hot and sweaty BUT like I'm being microwave from the insides out and once I've overheated it's almost impossible to cool my core temperature down. Not to mention that my flat is like the surface of the sun. It was 35° on Wed morning and only 27° outside, so it's nor been great. I had considered getting air con but the practicalities and expense proved too high a price. Then I considered Shark (sold out uk wide). My friend recommended Meaco and I'm absolutely thrilled he did. It arrived today (sadly the pedestal version was sold out) but this desk top version is FANTASTIC. For the past week or so I've been so hot and my regulate pedestal fan might as well NOT do anything apart from move hot air around HELL. I can honestly say that this is by far the most amazing bit of kit. My core temperature is amazing for the first time I actually feel like I'll be able to sleep. Really easy to set up, the remote is also easy to use and even on full power it's not very loud. If , like me you're struggling with the heat ( especially if you've got health conditions or take medication that can be impacted by the heat (like many anti depressants) then THIS IS DEFINITELY THE FAN FOR YOU. I can't believe I've suffered all these year's. Will definitely get another one (hopefully the pedestal version). I know this is a little pricey BUT trust me...it's absolutely worth it. I could actually cry I'm sat at 11pm and not one drop of sweat.

This fan is simply the best fan I've ever owned. Not only is it powerful on high settings, its almost noiseless on the lower ones. It's bidirectional oscillation also moves the air across the whole room rather than one area. Yes, its expensive but you get what you pay for! My only gripe is the remote control is almost useless unless you are less than a meter from the unit. However, with the Eco or timer mode on this unit is more of a set and leave setup. I would buy again without hesitation.

Quiet fan!! I usually cannot sleep with the background noise of a fan but on a medium setting this was still great. The little magnetic remote is a great touch with the extra options including an eco function so that it would turn off if the temperature drops. The fan oscillation is great as both horizontal and vertical. Feels solid, aesthetically pleasing and the handle is a nice touch.

We took our time selecting the best fan to suit our needs and all that research really paid off. This fan is very quiet and very effective. 12 speed settings; oscillating or moving up and down or still; clever device that can measure the temperature and set the fan speed accordingly; timer. We were so impressed that we bought a second the following day. Fast delivery of our fully assembled fan (some come needing to be made up). Highly recommended.

Note: my first fan had a fault which caused an annoying whining noise at lower speeds. Thanks to the excellent customer service from Meaco, a replacement was sent almost straight away. First the positives: this is an excellent fan. Easily the best desk fan I've owned, and I've owned a lot! It is indeed very quiet when compared to a standard fan. It also blows cooler than other fans at similar speeds, which I think is probably down to the blade design and the fact that the airflow is carefully directed by the shape of the surrounding case. So 10/10 for actual effectiveness. Now my negatives, which in no way detract from the actual performance of the fan itself. 1. The beeping noise every time you change a function is all well and good during the daytime, but if you're trying to change some settings in the bedroom late at night with a partner asleep next to you, well that can be so annoying (for them!). An option to turn off the beep would be appreciated. 2. The power cable length could do with being another metre longer. It's quite short. 3. The remote is a bit tacky for an item this expensive. It's also another thing that annoys me at night when the lights are off as it's hard to tell if you have it the right way round. The buttons need to be proper buttons, not those awful "bubble" buttons. Other than those minor niggles above this really is a brilliant fan and I am very happy with it. It's probably a little overpriced. I think it should be sold at around the £80 mark. I cannot fault the performance and the customer service however.

A holiday cottage that we stayed in had one of these fans (almost exactly the same model, just the remote was a little different). I was pretty impressed and as someone who hates being hot and sweaty, I thought it might be worth investing in one for home. The fan is incredibly quiet, barely audible on the lower speeds, and creates a wonderfully smooth air flow. The side-to-side oscillation gives around 90-degress rotation, and is also silent. We hadn't used that feature at the holiday cottage so were surprised when we found that the base rotates not just the fan. There is also a vertical oscillation option (which can be used separately from the horizontal oscillation or together with it). We don't really have a use for that, but anyone with bunk-beds or a split-level space might benefit from it. Noise levels increase when you select the higher power settings, but even then it's a lot quieter than most fans in my experience. Options for turning off after a pre-set number of hours are nice for use in the bedroom. Probably the most annoying feature is the beep that accompanies changes of settings, as that's likely to wake my wife if I change settings during the night ... though perhaps there's an option to turn the beeps off. We haven't made much use of the remote yet, but it's certainly useful, and allows you to turn down the power levels rather than having to cycle up through and beyond max power back to minimum, which is the only option when pressing the "touch screen" style buttons on the base. Despite these minor niggles the fan is still comfortably worth 5-starts in my opinion. It's fairly sizeable, but compared to older pedestal type fans not overly so. It certainly isn't as elegant looking as the bladeless type of fans by Dyson and others but based on my experience it's quieter. Wish we'd got one of these last summer when temperatures reached 40-degrees-C. It's been a godsend in the hot spells this summer. So much so that soon after buying it, we bought a second one. One lives upstairs and the other one downstairs ... with options for having both upstairs at night if our daughter decides she needs one in her room. Not sure why I was asked to rate "battery life". The fan doesn't have a option to run on batteries, though I suppose the remote is battery powered. This fan also comes recommended by Which? consumer magazine and the online tech magazine T3, whose review is freely available from their website.

Amazing; looks great, kept me cool in the UK hot weather and so quiet

La mia mamma anzianissima e allettata, ha spesso caldo ma non tollera i rumori. Comprato questo con grande esborso, ma avuto successo oltre le aspettative. E' diventato una confortevole compagnia silenziosa e rinfrescante per le sue notti lunghe e tristi. Telecomando un pochino piccolo e affollato di comandi, ma per fortuna il pulsante On/Off è in centro e abbastanza raggiungibile. Contento.

Uitstekende, lichtgewicht ventilator met meerdere oscillatie functies en afstandsbediening. Stille motor maakt het ook prima geschikt voor de slaapkamer. Fan is van Brits ontwerp, gemaakt in China maar van degelijk materiaal en robuust.

We loved this so much we bought a second one. We used them in our bedrooms at night and carried one downstairs during the day over the very hot summer months. Level 4 (of 10 or so) is absolutely adequate for a pleasant cooling breeze at night and is very quiet. Having seen and heard Dyson fans in action, this is quieter and whilst maybe not quite so cool aesthetically, it is nevertheless attractive, unostentatious, stable and a fraction of the price!
