This book is a bit out of date, some text is more than 15-20 years old, pictures too are pretty dated.However it still makes for a compelling narration of this beautiful park; it's not just a guide or a photographic book, it offers an insight into the life of Yellowstone, thus becoming a unique way to learn about it

This guide is another solid performance from National Geographic. More of an armchair read than a travel guide type publication it gives an in depth look at the Yellowstone area ecosystem, including Grand Teton. I would recommend it to anybody interested in learning more about the area itself, rather than where to stay or eat etc.The guide is illustrated throughout to a standard you would expect from National Geographic, including double page spreads.The publication date in the guide is copyright 1989 and 1997 so an updated edition could be beneficial.
