WARNING long review!! Worth reading!! It has now been nearly one year since I painted my hall bathroom cabinets. I wanted to wait to leave this review to see how the paint held up. WOW! I was amazed! This paint is fool proof. First, I watched a lot of videos on how to use this product and how to apply it and prep the surface for the paint. There are a lot of videos out there and the brand has their own YouTube that goes step by step. Prepping the surface you are painting is important. I used a deglosser I found here on amazon. Second, make sure you follow the directions for application. I choose to not use the roller reccomended as I wanted the wood grain to show through. I painted the bathroom cabinets in the bathroom my kids use daily! So you can imagine this takes a lot of use. I am very impressed with the color and durability of this paint after nearly one year the cabinets are still beautiful. I am getting ready to paint our next bathroom and will probably use this on our kitchen as well. I was amazed how easy this was to apply and how evenly the paint went on. There was no dripping, no brush marks, and the final product looked amazing. I highly recommend this paint to anyone like myself who was on the fence about DIY painting cabinets. Note the cabinets I painted were solid oak and still in great condition but not the color I preferred. Using this paint I was able to transform an outdated look to something a bit more modern looking! This paint is worth every penny! One thing to note, a little bit goes a long way. Follow the steps, watch the videos, and be ready to be amazed. I don’t normally leave reviews but again after seeing how well this product worked and how durable it was, WOW! So worth it!

Very pleased with how this project turned out. I got the paint overnight. It is a little different than other paint so there was a slight learning curve. The video tutorials on their website helped a lot. Mostly, the technique is different, but easy enough to follow. The color is beautiful and coats well. Easy to clean up spills and drips from the vinyl peel & stick tiles I also installed-just used a wet washcloth. It did not stain. One issue I had yesterday that I need to fix today is that I closed the cupboard doors and they weren’t completely dry I guess. I had to pry one of the corners just a tiny bit but it took a small area of the paint completely off. I don’t think this would have happened had I sanded and used a traditional paint. Not a big deal though-I’ll just try repainting that little area (size of a dime). This is the reason for taking a star away. I do worry that it may be easily scratched and reveal the brown underneath. A little goes a LONG way, especially if you use the “stippling” method for the first coat. I bought a 32 oz. for my master bathroom project. I used 2 coats and still have just under half left over! I intend to use this product again when we do our kitchen cabinets.

I bought this paint and I also bought the bundle with the bristle brush, sponge, applicator, and Sponge roll brush and deglosser wipes I definitely recommend these. I only needed two coats of paint. I was painting over a high gloss cherry finish furniture that I’ve had over 30 years. The first coast of pain I use the sponge applicator and then.” punched” down as the tutorials suggest to get a far more even and complete coverage for the first coat. You really need to use a liberal amount of paint. I suggest doing sessions at a time so you’re working with paint that is still wet. I waited three days and then applied the second coat with the brush. I personally didn’t have a ton of luck with a sponge roll brush to eliminate brushstrokes, but it didn’t affect the quality of the outcome. Again, I suggest using a very liberal amount of paint so it goes on thick and brush this coat unlikely. If you apply too much pressure, you run the risk of pulling your first coat off. I let this coat dry another 36 hours before returning the drawers and then putting the hardware back on. It is very true in terms of it’s going to take a full 30 days to truly set and “cure” so I won’t be putting anything on top of the dresser until then so I don’t risk any paint scraping off and needing to touch up. I looked at the tutorials on their YouTube channel.

I should have purchased : Premium Painting Combo: 2 Sponges, 2 Rollers & 1 Brush - Ideal for DIY. It would hace helped me to do better my work. I thought I could find them in the local market in Venezuela but it wasn’t the same quality. Lesson learned from my side!
