Works well and not overly loud
It does what it is supposed to and doesn’t have an overbearingly loud sound when running top speed. I purchased this to use in a very height restricted mini-itx desktop case. It does the job.

Dynatron A18 1U Active PWM Blower
The Dynatron A18 1U Active PWM CPU Blower Fan and Heat sink Under perform, Doesn't Cool the Ryzen 9 7900X CPU. The Fan is loud and gets louder when the Fan Speed Up.

It Worked With Some Modifications
Some positives: 1. It fits in a 1u case comfortably. 2. It keeps a Ryzen 2400ge adequately cooled. Some negatives: 1. It is loud, if this is a concern you have, consider different options to lower the fan speed such as BIOS or a fan speed controller. This is probably going to be your best option for a 1u case. 2. The heat sink may interfere with other components on the motherboard and may require some modification. I ended up using a dremel to notch the heat sink in two spots to get it to fit properly in the motherboard without interfering with any other components. If you do go this route, please be sure to blow out the copper dust and pick out the metal burs in the heat sink after notching it so you dont blow copper dust and burs all over your motherboard when you turn it in.

Perfect match for ASRock Rack X470D4U
Was looking for a while for a heat sink that would be fit the same orientation of the board and finally found this one. Replaced a stock AMD heat sink so I could fit RAM into the closest slot and it's been working great with temperatures around 40C running fans at ~1200 RPM. At this speed sound is barely audible and it's not until it reaches 50C that the PWM fan spins up a bit more at ~2300 RPM that you notice it.

Works great, check motherboard for fitment
Keeps my ryzen apu reasonable cool in an itx case that only has exhaust fans on one side. The VRM chokes between the screw holes on the board and on one side of the CPU socket did interfere with the cooler, so I had to shave the side down a bit and cut a chunk out between the screws on one end, but after that it worked fine. Make sure you have a compatible motherboard, or the correct tools for cutting a block of copper, because otherwise it's a bear to modify. ;)

low profile cpu fan
It fits fine an ASUS B550 motherboard. I installed it on a Ryzen 5700G. This CPU sink/fan should be ok with a low end AMD CPU. On my system, even at idle, it sounds too loud. Once windows starts checking for updates, it runs at 100% and it is so loud that it scares the cat so much that he runs to hide in a closet. I finally could not stand it and moved the ASUS mini-itx board to a bigger case with a water cooled sink. So I would only recommend it with a very low end CPU that barely gets hot

Cools well in 1U case
No heat problems on a 65W TDP processor that also has two case fans.

What is this? Pretty much everything is wrong with this fan.
1. PWM control broken, fan always runs 100% (5500pm+). (A Noctua fan works fine on the same motherboard, so it's NOT the motherboards problem) 2. Loose screws right out of the box. I needed to completely disassemble the fan to re-tighten the fan assembly. 3. Aggressive adhesive on the backing plate. This makes it extremely difficult to remove without damaging the motherboard. 4. SUPER LOUD. Incredible how much noise a fan can make. It is thin though, which means this is still the only option for 1U rack mount cases. :-(
