What's the difference between this and Lactaid?

The Digestive advantage Lactose is a probiotic with the addition of the enzymes needed to better digest lactose. Lactaid is not a probiotic.

The middle of a pandemic why would this product that I've been using for a very long time double in price?

This product has had declining availability and increasing prices because of it since at least the end of last summer. That’s just economics. If the “manufacturing update” as someone else proposed is true, they’ve been doing it a long time in the business world and it’s a poor decision on their part to delay. Amazon 3rd party seller supplies seem finally tapped out, even at insane prices and local store inventory is quite hard to come by.

Are these tablets gluten free?
