Using this to brighten my gums. It appears to be lightening.

I am a professional published herbalist with nearly 50 years of experience. In my opinion, of the brands available on Amazon, I find that Carmel is relatively unsurpassed. I typically get my herbs by growing them myself or directly from the growers, but when that is not possible then I go to Carmel!

I'm using this as a sweetener for tobacco and it's fantastic. Licorice root powder is very commonly used for this as it isn't harmful like sugar is. A little goes a long ways. I highly recommend it for anyone experimenting with sweetener. The downside is the paper bag it comes in. Be prepared to have your own storage solution ready. This is incredibly fine powder, like a flour, so it will get everywhere and the bag does not seal. This would be 5 stars if it came in a better container.
