Replace ALL your other leggings!
I get cold easily and am trying to gradually replace as many of the synthetics in my wardrobe as I can with clothes made of natural materials. So when I saw these leggings while doing my Black Friday shopping, I gave in to temptation and bought four pair - two heavyweight and one each in medium and lightweight. Yes, they're in different colors (black, grey, and blue). What I LOVE: They're cozy soft, like a high-quality fine-knit (superfine) merino wool sweater. They aren't itchy at all, and they breathe like they're not even there. The heavyweight ones are sufficient for the freezing temperatures at my sister's place in the mountains without being too warm for the slightly-warmer temperatures at my parents' place. They all look great, sleek and streamlined without the plastic sheen of synthetics. If you do medieval reenactment, like I do, they'll work perfectly for it too, as long as you can cover or ignore the company logos at the hip and left ankle. The free pair of socks that come with them are a basic grey but feel almost pillow-soft. What could be improved: I got XXL, because my measurements are borderline between there and XL for the company's size guide (L/10-12 in normal store sizes). The leggings are a little looser than they need to be, though the nice thing about wool knits is that you can't tell they're big unless they're way too big. I'll probably get XL for my next order, but only because I like the waist to feel a bit more snug than these are. (I can add a drawstring to fix that.) There's a seam about 3" above the ankle that I wish were slightly less visible, though it's not enough to make me look for a different style. An option with pockets would have been nice, even though it would mean losing the seamless line along the outer leg. But these minor issues don't even add up to any significant dissatisfaction. I'm going to be living in them all winter long and will at least be able to wear the lightweight ones in the summer. As well as wool breathes, even the heavyweight ones will probably be more comfortable than synthetic ones in the summer.

An excellent deal for an excellent product
Fits well, is soft and non-itchy, lightweight but warm. I only wear this base layer under my waterproof fleece-backed snow pants, as this provides plenty of warmth when actively hiking or snowshoeing. It is also exceptionally breathable, and will dry quickly. I have only machine washed on delicate and air-dried, as specified in the care instructions. The socks that came with these leggings are cushy, a little bit scratchy, and washed and dried just fine in a normal warm wash and medium dry cycle. I would not hesitate to continue ordering from this company, especially since a lot of the more expensive brands have been upping their synthetic content. You’re definitely getting way more wool for your buck from Merino Tech!

Nice quality
True to size, not too thick, stretchy, not see through, perfect for layering. Ideal for cold weather without making you overheat. Not itchy either!

Pretty happy!
I'm happy with these! They are warm and soft. Not scratchy at all. My only peeve is that they are short on me, as I have very long legs. They do not reach to my ankles. They also tend to get baggy as they are worn, which isn't surprising since they are natural fiber. They are fine under pants or a long skirt, but don't look good with a short skirt or worn on their own due to the baggy appearance. However, I bought them to use primarily as a base layer so I'm happy with them!

wooly wooly
These wool leggings are excellent. Super soft, surprisingly lightweight, and incredibly warm without feeling bulky. The wool is high quality — it breathes well, wicks moisture, and naturally resists odors, making them perfect for cold weather, hiking, or everyday wear. They hold their shape after washing and feel luxurious against the skin. Highly recommended! One of the best pairs of leggings I’ve owned. Very nice indeed.

Perfect for the BWCA in mid-May.
True to size, comfortable, cute, and kept me warm. I used these on my canoe trip into the BWCA this past May, just after ice was off the lake. Recommend!

They are Amazon “merino wool”
I have mixed thoughts on these leggings, I purchased the 250 (mid) I was visiting Chicago and do not own any true winter clothing. The leggings said they were 100% merino wool and for the price I was doubtful, they are very thin and see through. I went up a size to avoid stretching them but enough to wear under cargo loose pants. The layering helped but I could definitely feel the cold on my thighs. It wasn’t unbearable I did walk quite a bit and kept sufficiently warm while outside. I visited while it 20-30s (felt like 2-13) and some wind. Purchase them knowing to not wear them alone and you may still feel cold. I do not think these are the wool leggings you invest on. I will be looking at other non Amazon brands for merino wool in the future. Also, they are not very flattering (waist line is pretty terrible) and not the kind you’d wear under a dress or long skirt in case you wanted to have a nice evening dinner and needed to go outside without complaining you are cold.

Size up unless you want a tight fit.
I sized up. I would normally order a medium. The stated waist measurement on medium was good but the hip measurement was small. I ordered a large and I am very happy with the fit. Since there is no spandex (100% wool) they don't stretch much. The large are quite comfortable and will be great for hiking.

Perfect base layer for skiing
Item arrived on time and as described! Super comfortable, warm, soft base layer, was perfect for wearing under a ski jacket and just lazing around in cold weather. (I ordered the heavyweight version and it wasn't transparent at all; fit true to size.) Oh and the free socks were perfect to wear with walking boots in the snow! Really impressed all around, will definitely buy from these people again. 10/10 would recommend.

Precio y calidad

Great but not for alt use as tights / social leggings.
I wanted wool LEGGINS . I couldn’t find them so I settled for these. I wear them a lot as they are warm and thick and don’t lose shape much. BUT if they hadn’t got the big luminous brand on the back of the bottom leg, they’d get more custom. I would have repurchased. But for those of seeking to pass them as rights under skirts of leggings it doesn’t look good. Obv they are not advertised as such, but if you want more custom, pls get rid of the luminous silver mountain on the back of one leg. Otherwise warm, thick, good walking hiking base thing as advertised.
