Fantastic carpet cleaner
Oh im tickled beyond happy. I had a old Bissell carpet cleaner that lasted me 5 years. I was surprised because it wasn't a fancy thing. But, I knew it needed desperately a new carpet cleaner. Let me set up my household. I have a man who for the life of me, doesn't wipe his boots before coming into the house. We live in Florida, we have sand. But, when its wet, its a messy clob. He will also mow the grass, work on cars, work with building stuff, and we have chickens for eggs....THEN come strolling in and yeah, it gets dirty pretty bad. Ha I also have, no judgment, 5 cats (3 rescues, 1 adopted my porch, then became family and 1 we still don't know where it came from. Was only about 5 weeks old when found and is a simease cat *no simease cats around here* so, there's 5 cats, 3 dogs. 1 is a 16 year old shih tzu, 1 is a spaniel *saved from the pound on last day left* and 1 great pyrenees. These carpets get their use. I don't do the typical floor tiles thats popular in Florida. My feet don't do hard surfaces. Ha. So, now that youre imagination a indoor petting zoo....its not, but the foot traffic...its a busy walking areas. I just used this marvelous carpet cleaner. The steam is definitely wonderful. I got small stains out that I couldn't even scrub out with dawn dish soap and a scrub brush..with EASE! This just went over those areas ONCE and im like, whaaat?? WOW! GONE! No more spots, no stains. Soooooo easy to fill, soooo easy to clean and that brush is fantastic. It also DIDN'T keep even one strand, clump of pet hair on the brush. NOTHING got clogged up because of pet hair and it was so easy to refill mid job, and so easy to assemble. Its not heavy. I was able to maneuver it very well. Im in my 60s, so I'm not as strong as I was in my 40s. But, I was pleasantly surprised by this carpet cleaner. I give it a 10/10 5 stars! I did get it on payments. Hopefully you can too. Because if youre trying to decide, need a carpet cleaner, but the budget is tight...get THIS, and on payments. Im just a regular amazon buyer. Im not a social media person, im not a paid bot. Im just giving you my honest review. Im extremely happy! Its worth the money. No question. Works great. Dries carpet quickly. And my house smells wonderful.

The steam makes the difference, great machine
I previously owned the Hoover SteamVac. First of all, they (Hoover) should be chastised for using the word "steam" in the name. The Hoover carpet cleaner does not generate any steam at all . . . HOWEVER, that can't be said for the Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam. This machine is great. It generates an enormous amount of steam in both the steam Pretreat mode and Steam and clean mode. To me, the steam makes a BIG difference. First, the machine is easily assembled. Took me about 2 minutes to unbox and put together. No directions were needed. The tanks are a bit on the small side (1 gallon each) so you'll definitely be filling and emptying it at least twice if you are doing a large room. However, this process is very easy and quick. As a note, several other reviewers stated that suction power is decreased when the extracted water tank fills to about 2/3. This is true since there is an internal float in the extraction tank which stops suction when the tank reaches a certain level. However, it's very noticeable when this happens as there is a definite sound increase. The unit takes about 30 seconds to heat up enough to generate the steam. I believe it also internally heats the water as well although the exact temperature it's heated to is not specified anywhere. So, to help speed things along, you would be better off using hot water to start with and let the vacuum provide additional heat as required. I can't say my carpets look like new afterwards, (they are 30 years old) but they are noticeably much cleaner now. The unit has very good suction and extracts most of the water it lays down. You will be amazed at how dirty (almost black) the extracted solution is. To anyone considering purchase of this vacuum, I would suggest buying an additional bottle of the cleaning solution since the bottles which come with the machine are quite small and most likely will be used up in 2 tank fills.

Powerful Bissell HydroSteam Carpet Cleaner for Deep Stains
The Bissell Revolution HydroSteam Carpet Cleaner is one of the best deep cleaning machines Iโve used for keeping carpets fresh, especially in a busy home. If you have kids, pets, or high-traffic areas, this upright carpet cleaner makes a noticeable difference after just one use. The HydroSteam Technology really stands out. It helps loosen tough, dried-on dirt and stains that regular carpet cleaners struggle with. I tested it on older traffic lanes and pet messes, and the carpets looked brighter and felt softer after drying. The suction power is strong, pulling up a lot of dirty water, which shows how deep it cleans. The 4-inch self-cleaning tough stain tool is perfect for stairs, furniture, and spot cleaning. Itโs easy to attach, and I like that it rinses itself out, which keeps things more hygienic. The included formulas work great and leave a clean smell without being overpowering. Despite being a powerful machine, itโs still fairly easy to maneuver. The water tanks are simple to remove and refill, and the dirty tank is easy to empty. For an upright deep cleaner, it doesnโt feel overly bulky. Pros: โ Excellent deep cleaning performance โ Great for pet stains and odors โ HydroSteam helps lift tough, set-in dirt โ Useful attachments for upholstery and stairs โ Easy tank removal and maintenance Cons: โ A bit heavier than basic carpet cleaners โ Takes some drying time (normal for deep cleaning) Overall, this Bissell carpet cleaner is a great investment if you want professional-level results at home. Itโs especially ideal for pet owners and families who need a reliable deep carpet cleaning machine that handles tough stains and everyday messes.

Impressed
This cleaner has really impressed me. We had a lot of dark spots on our carpet with a couple being on the larger side. I rolled up my sleeves, fired this puppy up and went to work on the capet in the living room. This did a really good job on the regular sections (not appearing very dirty) parts of the carpet. It did remove a lot of dirt/nastiness into the pickup bin. I had to work it several times over the dark spots. One spot my wife was sure wouldn't come out actually did. It is suprisingly esay to use and never had a problem reaching areas that the vaccum would. It's not very heavy to get around. It takes up about the same amount of room that the vaccum does. Overall, I feel that this was a great purchasse for the money.

Powerful Deep Cleaner, but Cleanup Takes Some Effort
The BISSELL Revolution HydroSteam does an excellent job of deep-cleaning carpets and removing tough stains, including pet-related messes. It was easy to assemble and operate, and the attachments are useful for cleaning smaller areas. The suction is strong, so the carpets dried faster than I expected. My only drawback is that the machine is somewhat difficult and time-consuming to clean after use. Overall, the cleaning performance is very good, and I would recommend it to households with children or pets. I deducted one star because of the cleanup required afterward.

Well worth the money
I was needing a lightweight but through carpet cleaner. I previously had a bissell cleaner but, sometimes when children borrow things they come back in pieces and mine literally did. My carpet hadn't been cleaned in quite a while. We have a garden home built in 2002 and two 75lb belgian malinois. I use a dyson vacuum so the hair and surface dirt were "under control." Our carpet is a light mocha brown color, excellent for hiding imperfections and wear. It is original to the house. Yep, desperately needed replacing or burning. I throughly vacuumed 3 times over the span of a week before using the cleaner. I had hopes it would, at the very least, fluff up the worn carpet. I cleaned the living room and one bedroom. These were used and abused more than any others. The cleaner worked very well. It's not too heavy to make the task difficult, but heavy enough that it felt substantial while using it. It has a somewhat small water collector that concerned me. I thought "How many times will I have to fill, dump, and refill this thing." The advantage was the smaller reservoir made it easier to fill and empty. You'll get your steps in and I definitely did. I used all of the cleaner included and a jug I still had left from the previous one. I definitely would advise purchasing extra. My result was EXCELLENT! Please keep in mind the carpet is 24 years old. I did pretreat all stains with the pretreat setting. I took my time and throughly cleaned the carpet. I went over the cleaned areas excessively to pull the water out. I wanted it to dry as quickly as possible. There's no giving it time to dry in my crazy house. I love it and probably need to use it again, really soon. The best thing is I don't dread the idea of doing it. Just make sure you buy extra cleaner. So you don't have to stop in the middle of cleaning and run to walmart.

Great Cleaning Performance, But the Dirty Water Drips
The cleaning performance is very good, and it does a great job removing dirt from carpets. It's also easy to use overall. However, I'm disappointed with the dirty water tank design. Every time I start or shut off the machine, dirty water drips onto the carpet. This means I have to clean up after the cleaner, which is frustrating and defeats part of the purpose. If BISSELL could improve the dirty water tank or valve design to prevent leaking during startup and shutdown, this would be a much better product. Until then, I can only give it 3 stars.

LOVE the true steam. Suction of waste water on wall-to-wall could be a lot better.
Area Rugs: I got this for area Persians for which it works well, I have Mohawk Home Waterproof backing under all my carpets and this Bissel does a great job of cleaning and sucking up the wastewater. Wall-to-wall: I had to clean the carpet in the basement, which had some places where I'd overused my old SpotBot (also a great machine) and taken off the StainGuard that the carpet came with. The HydroSteam along with Bissel's Max Clean & Protect worked a miracle cleaning these perfectly round dark spots. My method with the SpotBot was to use the auto cycle and then go over the spot with the hose attachment and a little pressure to pick up water. All but one are gone(!) and the "Protect" gave them a little coating that I will enhance with ScotchGuard Rug and Carpet Protector to try to give it a little more repellent. The downside is that out of a full tank I only had maybe 3/4 Cup of wastewater and the carpet was still drying after 3-days. Maybe I could have just gone over it 20-more times, but it sure seemed like it could have sucked better and you can't really put pressure on it to increase the suction like you can with the SpotBot hose. It does have a hose attachment, which I didn't use because it was quite a large area for my old geezer knees.
