Does this work on dry (not just-shampooed) hair?

These are my tips for using this product... hope they help! (btw-- this foam comes out THICK & takes a good 30 secs to 1 min. to fully "expand"... so have patience. It's worth the wait!)

DAY ONE:  After I get out of the shower, I loosely wrap my hair in a towel to absorb the excess water. After 5 min, I flip my head over & scrunch in bits of foam, starting at the tips & working my way back up to the roots. I then sorta gather all my hair together VERY LOOSELY for a second (kinda as if I were gonna put it into a ponytail) to distribute the foam a bit more. Then I flip it all back over and let air dry!

DAY TWO:  I get my hair sorta damp & dab tiny bits of foam on the crown of my head if it's frizzy & any other areas that are lacking in definition. I only squirt about a quarter size amount into my hand cuz it expands more. Then, as my hair air dries, I fluff as needed.

DAY THREE (& sometimes FOUR!🙄 lol): I do one of two things-- either I spray on water to dampen & then let air dry... or I spray on a curl booster or light leave-in conditioner, as needed.

This product has enough oomph & body to it to re-activate it day after day. And, if you accidentally smoosh in too much foam in one spot...don't freak out. Just splash some water onto that area & the foam will dissipate. Then reshape those curls some & you'll be good. Also, because I have very long thick hair, I find that using one of those jersey cotton pillowcases works the best for twisting my hair up in. It's longer & lighter weight than most hair towels and it doesn't flatten my curls as they dry. I've been using this product for years now... and I love it!❤

Does this give volume

It does for me, but it's a soft volume. I have thin, limp hair with just a little of its own curl, and it gives my hair some lift and a little body.

Is this safe for color treated hair?

I tried it when my hair was colored and  it was fine. It just drys out my hair but it’s safe on colored hair
