Can not deal with incompatible ink cartridges anymore
I had to replace my HP printer that was almost this same model that I was very happy with. My new printer worked fine for a few months. I enrolled in the ink subscription service like before. From the beginning I had some issues with my printer telling me the cartridges were incompatible despite them coming from HP and being legit HP cartridges. I would fiddle with it to get it to finally work until a couple of days ago. I went to replace my ink and it will not validate the cartridges. I tried everything Reddit and YouTube told me to try after getting no where with HP support. I unenrolled in the ink subscription and tried to use regular HP cartridges but it still would not validate those either. Again, I tried all of the tricks and tips to no avail. I’ve spent two days fiddling with this stupid printer to get it to read and validate HP ink. Legit HP ink. I’m done with HP and will be replacing this less than one year old printer (it’s May and I got it in August) with and Epson. I will never buy another HP printer until the cartridge issue is resolved with their software and their ink either lasts longer or decreases in price. I really hate it bc the print quality of this printer is great. The app is good, connectivity is good until recently, and the benefits of the ink subscription outweighed the issues. But now I don’t care if the ink was free if it won’t work and takes two days to figure out then I don’t want it. The printer would stop printing mid page or document. It jammed some but not too much. It was not too noisy, lightweight, and easy to open and easy to change paper. It just won’t validate their own cartridges to actually be able to print. A printer should work. Ink cartridges should work. Printers should last longer than a year. I do not recommend this product.

Simple Printer That Works
I’ve bought a lot of printers over the years—both cheap ones and more expensive models. The cheap printers never work quite right, and the more expensive ones are just more expensive without being noticeably better. This HP printer hits the sweet spot. It was easy to set up, works the way it’s supposed to, and doesn’t make printing feel like a technical event every single time. One of my favorite features is the app—I have it on my phone and can print directly from my phone, which is honestly crazy good and incredibly convenient. It connects reliably, prints cleanly, and does exactly what you expect a printer to do. If you’re tired of wasting money on printers that are either unreliable or overpriced, this one is a solid choice. Very happy with this purchase.

Printer is good but not great!!!
Usually, I do not write reviews, but after reading the reviews, I think it’s important to do this. The printers is good quality but cheaply made. The cord falls provide falls out so if you a cord from a HP printer, keep it !!! It will save you a heartache. It does print 8 1/2 x 11 little slow but it does work, quality is good -not excellent set up so so had some connection problems but overall I’m OK with it. For the price it’s probably worth it (?) you decide.

Excellent buy!
Print quality is amazing! Doesn’t jam easily! Very easy to use and has been compatible with every computer I’ve used so far! I think it uses right much ink but not too much!

I regret buying it.
This is the worst printer I've ever had. If I could give it zero stars, I would. It jams every few files I print. I'm not even printing crazy file sizes either; my document can be a few pages long, and it will error out on the first one. And these jams are not due to the quality of paper I am using. In addition to the constant paper jams, I've had cartridge errors, and once when the printer didn't even realize it was glitching. It kept warping, shifting, and erasing portions of the documents I was printing. After about an hour of trial and error (to confirm that it was indeed the printer and not my laptop, the file, or the connection) I had to do a couple hard reboots to get it to work. The worst part is that I was charged for those failed attempts at printing my document because it didn't even realize it was failing. The subscription fee is also straight up predatory. It's not clear that you CANNOT opt out of the printing subscription, nor that the printer will refuse to print anything and lock up after your "free trial" is over. It's not a trial period if you do not have the option of cancelling after the trial period is over. This is honestly very disappointing because I used to be a loyal HP user. All of my printers growing up were HP, and now I've completely lost trust. It takes a lot for me to write a product review, and this one was bad enough for me to want to warn others not to buy it. And this isn't for money; I had a few documents I needed to print, and then a few months later when I needed to print more, all of these problems became apparent; but it was well after the return period ended. I will be buying a new printer from another brand and have accepted that I wasted money on trash. Yes, it was a cheap printer, and things like its slow printing speed was acceptable, but it's performance was so much worse than what I was expecting from an HP product. Absolutely terrible. Also do not rely on the AI check marks when looking at the product reviews. Do not make the same mistake I did. I literally did not mention anything about the duplex printing, paper capacity, or scanning, and somehow the AI interpretted it as a positive.

Works great so far.
Not built as well as my older HP printer of 5 years old. Was not as easy to install as my older printer, but HP tech support was great and guided me through the setup. The printer works great so far since it is new. I have 5 devices connected, and all work well under WIFI.

Excellent Printer But...
Easy to install. Excellent connectivity and good print quality from any device, but original repacement cartridges are really expensive and not easy for find in the UAE. The HP automatic ink replacement option lists a supplier who shows item is not available so that option (together with the 3-months free ink supply offer) is not available in the UAE, so it would seem...

This HP does not function well and very frustrating!
This HP 8120 is very frustrating and I would not recommend it. Many times I need to unplug, wait, replug in. Turn my computer off shut down. Boot it up as I cannot get it to print. You go through all this and then maybe it will print. Some days I request print and it does but I can never count on it. I also found that I have changed it to draft quality a few times but it goes back to normal and uses too much ink. The cartridge that came with the machine may have printed 20 pages and then the black ink was empty. The colour which I try not to use much at all so it hasn’t printed more than 6 or 8 items and it,is telling me the ink is low. I’m not happy with this at all. However too late to return.
