LYPHARD AQUARIUMS Mini Aquarium Set Fish Tank Shrimp Tank Snails Tank Planted Tank 1.2 gallon
Great functional tank..i have moss balls in this and works great for our babies. i find the light a bit too bright for us personally but it is great to have. easy to clean and good size for us. came well packaged and set up was a breeze. looks great when set up.

Not as nice as I had hoped for
The tank quality is good and set up was easy, but the sand was so hard and clumped up like clay it was unusable. Also the filter works well but it way to strong for my betta even at the lower setting. May work for different fish but not good for Betta's in my opinion. The light is a nice little addition.

Tiny Aquarium Kit That’s Perfect for Shrimp & Desk Spaces
This LYPHARD mini aquarium set is great if you want a small aquatic display without needing tons of gear. It’s sized just right for shrimp, tiny fish (like nano fish), or snails, plus a few delicate plants to create some green life without overcomplicating things. The compact design lets you drop it on a desk, a shelf, or any small spot and it becomes a little habitat without dominating the space. The clarity of the glass and overall presentation look cute, and it seems well made enough for beginners trying a small aquascape or shrimp tank setup. What to watch out for / Downsides: Because it’s small, the water volume is low, which means temperature swings and water chemistry changes happen faster than bigger tanks, so you’ll need to keep an eye on ammonia, nitrites, and regular water changes. Filtration may be minimal or more challenging, so adding a small filter (if not included) or doing more frequent maintenance helps. Lighting will also matter a lot: delicate plants need enough light, and cheap lighting or poor placement can result in algae or plant struggle. Also, this size means less margin for error: overfeeding, skipping cleaning, or letting uneaten food sit can degrade water quickly and stress livestock. Bottom line: If you want a low-commitment aquatic setup (shrimp, snails, nano fish) or a decorative living piece for small spaces, this tank kit is solid. It gives a good look and a chance to practice aquarium basics without needing huge investment. Just treat maintenance more proactively than with larger tanks.

A small aquarium complete set-up: great for a first aquarium experience
This kit is a great value with everything necessary to get the small aquarium up and running, including a pump for circulating the water and a small light. One plastic plant and three rocks are included for decor, and the plant is properly weighted so it won't float to the top. The dust from the rocks had spread into the interior, so the aquarium looks a little dusty in my pictures, but it washed off easily. I did rinse the rocks thoroughly before using. I am also NOT using the provided gravel, because in my experience that kind of tiny gravel makes it harder to clean the aquarium later - I'll be using a larger sized gravel instead. The glass of the tank is thick and sturdy, with a darker side for the back, and a non-slip surface on the bottom of the tank.

Filter is not betta friendly
I purchased three of these for some very small betta that I rescued. They arrived packaged very nicely and no broken glass or parts. After unboxing them I noticed one of the three had been opened and the gravel was wet. That one also had an "X" scratched into the top of the lid. This didn't effect the function of the tank so I kept it and just made sure I rinsed the gravel really well. I do recommend if you are getting this for a betta or other small fish you may want to get another filter option. Even on the lowest setting this one still had them swirling like a cyclone. Overall not to bad for the price, but when you have to purchase a different filter that does affect the over all cost of this option.

Better than expected
Better than expected! As a fan of nano tanks and owning quite a few, I wasn't sure how I would feel about one this small. First, it accurately advertises itself as a shrimp/snail tank, which is truly the most anyone should consider putting in this setup. Measuring the inner glass area, I found it to be approximately 5.5"x5.5"x7.75", effectively netting a 1-gallon capacity, though I personally wouldn't fill it more than 90%. The rest of the kit comes with a good array of accessories: some attractive dragon stones (ranging from 1-4" in size), a bag of coarse sand (enough to cover the tank about 1/4" deep), a good-sized fake plant that would cover most of the tank area, a small AC-powered internal filter, a small clip-on LED light, and a cut-to-fit clear plastic lid with cut-outs for the light and power cables. I am actually quite pleased with the accessories, as several of them are genuinely useful. Starting with the tank itself, it looks very nice and cute overall. The glass appears clear and sturdy, and crucially, the tank did not leak. While the sealant isn't the highest quality I've seen, it's perfectly functional. The LED light is simple but sufficiently bright to support easy-growing aquatic plants. The cut-to-fit lid is also a nice, usable addition, though I prefer open-top aquariums and will likely leave it off. Now, concerning the internal powered sponge filter: it's probably the smallest I've ever seen and is actually quite cute. However, despite its small size, it's way too powerful for this 1-gallon tank! Even at its lowest adjustable flow rate, it would still cause everything in the tank to spin in an endless cycle. Its power output is more suited for a 5-gallon tank (though I wouldn't recommend it for a 5-gallon either, as its filtration capacity would be insufficient for that size). For this tiny tank, I would not use the provided filter at all. Finally, the sand and dragon stones are genuinely great accessories and can definitely be used either in this tank or others. The fake plant is a good size and usable for this tank, though I'm personally not a fan of using artificial plants in aquariums. Overall, this 1-gallon nano tank kit is pretty good value. Yes, given its 1-gallon size, you are limited in what you can do. However, it can be a nice small desk aquarium, or, for myself, I will happily use this as a shrimp tank with live aquarium plants.
