It's maybe 2" long and the chain is roughly the diameter of a small dressmaker's pin. If all your jewelry is of the hair-thin "dainty" chain variety, maybe this will work for you. Definitely not for use with any sort of substantial pendants or chains. I don't think I would trust it on most of my necklaces...afraid it'll break and I'll lose the whole necklace.
