I bought these just for quick analysis so I don't have to get all my vials and fluids out every time. I'm trying to maintain are very specific hardness level for shrimp breeding and I noticed the color for gH fluctuates a fair amount depending on the day, despite a liquid test revealing my gH is very stable. pH can also be a bit tough to decipher at times, too. Still, the other tests seem spot-on and you can't beat the value here. It also includes a large desiccant packet, which I like.

Very handy

I have a very seasoned, cycled, established freshwater aquarium. However, I had some mysterious fish deaths recently even with my regular maintenance routine. What dissuaded me from testing my water parameters before has been the complication of mixing together test kit solutions in the past. These test strips are super easy to use and only ~ $0.10 / test. Just fully dip in the water sample for a couple of seconds and results are ready in only 30 seconds! It turns out the nitrates were way too high and led me to do a major water change to prevent any more fish deaths. I was a little skeptical at first since these are less expensive compared to some name brand companies, but these work. I plan to test regularly now with these test strips.
