Works great!
5 stars, this pump makes life so much easier. I have 10 aquariums and it cuts down cleaning time significantly. I read that some people have issues with clogging, so I rubber banded a HOB filter pad to it and it keeps anything big from getting stuck in there. Haven’t had any clogging issues. You’ll need to get vinyl tubing, I recommend getting a 20’ one, so you have some extra slack for it. I stretch the tube to my bathtub and dump the water in there. I also recommend getting some clamps to make sure the tubing stays put. For refilling the tank, I also rubber banded a HOB filter to the tube. It diffuses the water enough that it won’t stir up all your substrate when adding water back in. Most of my tanks have sand, and this method has kept it from being a cloudy mess. Works fast, so for refilling, I fill a 16.5 gallon tub with water first, put Seachem prime in and let it start pumping. If you run the water while it’s pumping, it’ll pump the water out faster than you can fill the tub. So I give it a head start and add in more water once the water level gets down to slightly above the top of the pump. Very impressed with this and it’s very affordable, makes life easier since I have several tanks at ground level that I can’t clean with a typical gravity-fed gravel vacuum.

Perfect for my fountain
I used this water pump for my fountain, and it works great. It has a strong and steady water flow, was easy to install, and has been working very well. I’m very happy with how it works in my fountain and would definitely recommend it.

Substandard Product
Purchased June 13 and used under very normal conditions. It stopped working on August 24 — just shy of 2½ months. A product failing this quickly under normal use is, at best, substandard. Calling it “substandard” is actually being polite. One star is generous.

Really good. Time will tell if this is exactly what I needed.
Quick review as I prefer to really test things out.I bought this to replace a system I got from another online store. I have it sitting in a 130L reservoir feeding 1/2” tubing that splits off to 1/4” tubes and emitters watering my bonsai trees.I moved from a place with a yard to an apartment with a small balcony. This forced me to rethink an automatic watering system with a focus on recirculation. So far the pressure is good enough to ensure good flow to the sprinkler emitters, the bonsai soil receives a good soaking twice a day. The basins the trees sit in catch the run off that is then fed back to the reservoir minimizing water usage and also keeping my neighbours below me dry.Like some others, I wish there was filtration in the suction base. I got around this with a thin charcoal filter pad purchased from a pet store and cut to size. So far I haven’t seen any loss in performance and any stuff that makes it into the reservoir does not get sucked into the water lines.
