CeraVe SA Smoothing Cleanser, Salicylic Acid, Rough & Bumpy Skin, 473ml

Best cleanser. I have been using this twice a day for two years. Honestly, very rarely write reviews but recently made another purchase and thought, why am I not writing a review?. If I had the confidence to show what my face looked like before I would. I am 35 and have suffered with bad skin all my life, always breaking out, the wind blows and I break out that kind of skin. But this...is...so..good. I have one spot once a month when its..that time. But apart from that nothing. The fact that people keep commenting on my skin is how I know it isn't in my head, it works. Friends honestly can't believe that this is all I use. Because if you saw my face before, you'd know why. Its now, smooth, no little bumps, no rough patches. I will never stop using this as part of my routine. I also have incredibly annoying sensitive skin and this does not irritate it at all.

Used this as a head-to-toe wash for the best part of one year, which kept my skin clear and moisturised. I have a dry skin type, with combination skin on my face. But still get blackheads and spots including chest and back from time to time. And during that year of use it kept my skin nourished and clear… even glowing. BUT, after taking a break from it for a month to save money and due to curiosity of would happen… BAM! BREAKOUTS GALORE. Head-to-toe breakouts, texture issues and severe flaking on my body. So I went back to using this and within a week (no kidding) my skin texture started to improve and blackheads started to clear away (head-to-toe). Now after a week, my skin is no longer dry and blackheads have gone. A few stubborn ones, but mostly gone. The natural glow of skin is what I am happiest about the most! I think if you have severe acne, you may need something stronger or prescription based. But for regular folk with semi problematic skin, I recommend this!Top tip for effective use: massage into the skin between 30-60 seconds. This allows time for the BHA to do its job. Otherwise you’ll be washing product down the drain, if you rinse off too quickly. Since doing this, my skin has returned back to normal very quickly. And, if you plan on using this, don’t add additional exfoliating products (chemical or physical e.g. a bathing mitt etc). Let the product do the job of exfoliation. It’s already a effective formulation without drying the skin out.

Ho acquistato questo detergente come alternativa agli scrub meccanici che, sulla mia pelle delicata, risultavano troppo aggressivi. Lascia la pelle morbidissima, per chi ha problemi di pelle spenta, opaca o con imperfezioni ( che siano brufoletti, ruvidità o puntini come le "strawberry legs") questi prodotto davvero aouta moltissimo a trasformare la pelle. Io lo uso a giorni alterni e lo lascio agire un paio di minuti prima del risciacquo. Dopo la doccia consiglio di non applicare altri prodotti esfolianti, ma di utilizzare una crema corpo idratante.

I've been really happy with this cleanser. It works well on my dry skin, leaving my face feeling clean without stripping away moisture or making it feel tight afterwards.The bottle lasts a long time since you only need a small amount with each wash, so it's good value despite the larger upfront cost. Overall, it's a great everyday face wash that I'd happily buy again.
