Powerful - Use Caution to Protect Heater, Pool Liner, Etc.
Turbo Shock will eradicate algae and turn a green pool blue. It is very effective. Steps: Use a water test strip or kit Make sure pH range is >7.0 Make sure cyanuric acid / stabilizer is normal range Make sure alkalinity is normal range ^ Doing the above will help ensure you are not wasting product IMPORTANT: Take it from an old lifeguard / pool manager... Use a great deal of caution. Chlorine can wreck eyes, lungs, skin - pretty much anything it touches. Consider rubber gloves, mask, and eye protection. Vinyl Liners This can bleach your expensive liner. Distribute evenly around your pool to minimize risk of clumps that will bleach your pool bottom. Some people like to pre-mix chlorine with water - I personally would not recommend with Turbo Shock as it is stronger and the fumes are worse. Heater This can corrode your expensive heat exchanger. To minimize risk of damage to your mechanicals, consider shutting off your pump when using Turbo Shock. If you want to keep running pump (and have a heater bypass), consider closing bypass valves to prevent Turbo Shock from getting in your heater. Pool Floats Remove any floats, toys, etc. that you care about. Turbo Shock can bleach them. Filter Turbo Shock can cause premature wear to your filter grids. To minimize risk of this happening, consider shutting off your pump until after the algae has been annihilated. Once your water is clearing up, use your test kit and check chlorine levels, pH, etc. Once levels safe for your equipment, start up. If your pH is like 6.0 and your chlorine is >10, suggest getting levels right before damaging your equipment. Great product - but, again, very potent!

Amazing product has earned a loyal customer for life!
We moved into a new home with a severely neglected above ground pool. It was even home to an entire habitat of frogs and tadpoles. We managed to safely relocate the wildlife, but we were sure we'd have to completely drain and clean the pool to get it up and running. That was a huge cost that, as new homeowners, we just couldn't afford. After reading a bunch of pool blogs online, Poolife Turbo Shock came up again and again. It took us a good month or so of consistent treatment to get it fully stable but, within a week or two, we were able to start safely swimming in it. This product saved us so much time and money. I highly recommend this brand to literally anyone who needs to save a neglected pool! It's also amazing for maintenance and opening and closing the pool. I will never buy anything else and the value for the money is among the best!

No Substitute.
Using turboshock for decades. Early this year tried a different product because of price (68% from well known company that just purchased another). I use shock regularly to regulate chlorine and to shock along with 3" pucks to raise my CYA until stable. The 68% raised my calcium and instantly promoted lime algae like never before. After quickly depleting the cheap stuff I purchased the turboshock and everything went back to normal with the best pool water in town. There are no substitutes for the Poolife turboshock if you want the best pool water.

Satisfaction
This is some serious Shock. It seems to good to be this easy so I didn't want to get to caught up in the description. But I couldn't help it. My pool has a lot of issues during the winter months so getting it swim ready always takes time, money, chemicals, and patients. Turbo Shock has alleviated the aforementioned. Happy days ๐

Cost effective and works really well
I've been using liquid chlorine for about 5 years to limit the amount of CYA added weekly since we also use stabilized tablets. I opted to switch to Poolife cal hypo to save money. It's half the cost per week compared to liquid chlorine shock and I think it does a better job! (For perspective, we have a 15,000 gallon pool, so we use 13 oz of this product per weekly shock. One 25 lb bucket delivers about 31 shocks at a cost of $4.89/shock). I compared a bunch of cal hypo brands at varying concentrations. Even though there were other off-label cal-hypo products a little cheaper, I trust the quality of Poolife products since we've used them before. We've been using this product for a few weeks and love the included convenient scoop with measurement marks on it. The only downside of using this product is it suggests you pre-dissolve it before adding it to the pool which takes a few more minutes to prepare than dumping liquid chlorine you can just dump and go.

Updated Review after use
Although I'm unsure if the product is actually "Pool Life Turbo Shock", due to it's top is white and not the customary "Red" top indicating it is "Turbo Shock" with a higher chlorine content, it works like I'm use to seeing it work. Also for the price, I'm getting more than what I was originally getting from my pool supply store next to my house. Therefore I giving it a revised review of 4 stars. The white top instead of the customary red top is confusing but i don't believe misleading. And it still works!
