You just set it on top of your skimmer basket (basket not included), and it immediately begins improving the water flow pattern. As shown on page 3, you simply measure the outer diameter of your basket to pick the correct 6", 7", or 8" version. 🏊 Works at Any Water Level The 8” funnel design works regardless of pool water level fluctuations, which is a huge plus during hot weeks or rainy days when levels rise and fall unpredictably . Waste of money. No change to flow or any effect at all.

This is fantastic. I love how quickly it works to put the leaves and debris into the basket and keep it there. This makes keeping the pool pump filter more clean. It works great and any negative reviews are from users that don’t understand how to use this. It’s really simple and straight forward - if your pool level is 3” or more above the skimmie (when upright) then use it installed that way and it works great and improves the suction from the pump. If your pool line is lower than 3”, install it in the reverse, or upside down - it will also create suction, but not as much. It’s incredibly sturdy and stays put. Note - you need a filter basket that has a flat rim and sits appropriately in place - I had to buy a new, weighted basket since my original has a handle that extends toward the opening of the skimmer lid. I have added two videos showing how the skimmie works. If you monitor your pool’s levels, it will be perfect.
