Yum! My Plecostomus likes these a LOT!
While formulated for shrimp and other invertebrates, my Plecostomus really likes these! They are thicker than most other algae wafers, which in my tank, ensures he's the one who gets to eat the whole wafer. I have a 75 gallon goldfish tank, and some of my fish are more than a decade old, with BIG mouths that can slurp up smaller wafers before Mr. Spot finds them. Because these wafers are thicker, the goldfish can't quite get them into position for their pharyngeal teeth to break the wafer into smaller bits...so if they DO manage to slurp one, they spit it out because they can't break it up for swallowing. I have intentionally broken the wafers into smaller pieces, so the goldfish can actually eat those instead, and they seem happy with those. I filled a wee glass baby food jar with about a month supply, and put the rest of the container into the tank cabinet. Now six months later, Mr. Spot is nearly 1/3 larger. I added a large "mystery snail" to our tank, and "Gary" the snail enjoys the wafers as much as the Plecostomus. Highly recommended.

Bought for Shrimp, but CPD’s love them too
Originally purchased for my Ref Cherry Shrimp and Nerite snails but my Celestial Pearl Danios love them. Will start nibbling as soon as they hit the water. Fish get more aggressive as the wafers soften up.I Use a pill splitter to cut each wafer in half and usually feed 1/2 a wafer every 3-4 days as a treat.Highly recommend especially for planted tanks. Also recommend using a shrimp feeding tray for once they soften up, they would be difficult to remove the remaining pieces.

Great, but some float..
My bottom feeders love these.. Would get five stars...But, I often have to dunk and squeeze about every third or fourth one, due to air bubbles trapped inside the wafers..I hope they perfect the cooking process..

Perfect for my two Nerite Snails
I was initially really hesitant about purchasing this product. I've been using it for about a week now for my two snails and the first time I put a wafer in the tank they had no idea what to do with it. However, once they got the taste for it they've been eating whatever I put in the tank within the first 2 hours. I'm not sure how long term this will benefit their health yet, but so far they've been doing fantastic. The 8 ounce container will last me more than enough for the next few months. My feeding schedule with them has been once every 2-3 days with roughly half a wafer so they eat everything (these things are about the size of a quarter and will become impossible to handle after the first 3 hours in the water). So far the wafers haven't disrupted the scent of my water like others have said

Algae Wafers can not find Algae on labele
Label for ingredients way too small they seem to care more about their name and and their photo. Ingredients list way too hard to read. Algae maybe in there someplace. I was sent a container that will expire the first of next year must use immediately.

These do not fit in my pictus cat's mouth
No longer does the carnivorous catfish have the ability to steal from the pleco. I've been trying to find a wafer he couldn't inhale for years. He still tries to eat these, but since they don't fit all the way in his mouth and he isn't bright enough to realize that, I can give him one and he will sit there trying again and again while the pleco eats a second one.Well, assuming the pleco can get past the kuhli loaches swarming it, and that the angelfish doesn't pick it up and wedge it somewhere. Some things just cannot be helped, but at least the catfish has been stymied! As you can guess from the variety of species trying to claim these for themselves, they're evidently palatable. They're also bigger than Hikari or Omega One wafers by quite a bit (obviously, since they're pictus-proof). I'd say they're about 2x thicker and 1/3 wider, so feed half as much as you would a skinny wafer.

Best Algae Wafers Yet
Absolutely perfect for my mystery snails. The wafers smell like plant matter as opposed to other brands that are composed of protein and fillers that smell like fish. These wafers are clearly high quality. My snails come ‘running’ when I drop these in. Personally I prefer to feed 1/4 a wafer per snail, but they’re easy enough to break up.

Not good for small tanks
I have a 5 gallon tank with 4 shrimp, 2 snails and a betta. I put one of these in, thinking the critters would scavenge off it for a few days. For two days everyone loved it, even the betta would go after it sometimes. Then it disintegrated into a complete mess and it looked like mold was growing on it. Everyone stopped eating it and it really started clouding up the water. I tried to get it out with the gravel vacuum but it was a total mess and the water stayed very cloudy. My fish started getting sick, even after partial water changes, and a water test showed high levels of phosphate in the tank.I would say these might be good if you have lots of shrimp or other critters who would eat it within a day or maybe two so it doesn't have time to break down. The wafers are rather large and just too big for a small tank. Some reviewers mentioned they received their product in plastic bags. Mine was in a black container exactly like the product picture.
