Highly functional
Great phone, for the price point!

AMAZING
This phone is absolutely amazing it runs so well for the value, and it's just really reliable for the price it rarely lags, it can run rainbow six siege mobile without lagging assuming you have a good internet connection and never lets you down, the finger print recognition is amazing, the responsiveness is fast and good, the battery life is also awesome, charging speed depending on your charger might be a problem but if you get a fast charger like a Chromebook charger you'll be alright ๐

read the negative reviews, they're right phone is garbage.
most garbage phone i've ever owned. so the charging port on my tablet recently broke and i needed something to hold me over. i figured hell i really only use it for kindle and tts so i'll just get a cheap phone right? nope. Not only does this phone fail miserably at that with it's tts pausing for very long periods between sentences, but it will randomly change brightness for no apparent reason. Unlocking it is a miserable process that often has to be done twice in a row for no apparent reason. Setup? Setup was awful, spent hours turning off and unchecking things. no i don't want you taking a screenshot of my phone screen every 30 seconds and pumping it through your AI, no I don't want all these stupid games and tiktok and facebook and all that other crap installed.. oh look you installed it anyway- twice, even though i unchecked it in the setup app. the setup asks for way too much personal information that is just plain not needed and contains far too much crap trying to track everything. On top of that you will recieve a wholly unreasonable amount of popups and notifications about bull that you don't care about. Motorola also insists on harassing you by their own admission a minimum of 2 times a week with notifications from motorola that the phone also states it will not allow you to disable. the only place this phone belongs is sideways up the butt of whomever made it. If i thought it was reasonable to attempt a return I would. Alas, i have already associated my google account with it as part of setup and I'm not okay with handing the device back at this point. Do not buy this device, get a better android phone and avoid motorola entirely. Personally, I should've gone with the same brand as the tablet that died, as it was a great tablet that lasted many years and the only reason i can't still use it is because USB C is an awful standard and the connector was abused to the point of failure after years of use.

Great plan...not sure about the phone yet.
Can't beat a prepaid 12 months of service, 1500 minutes, texts and other. Simple call to 800 number, they port my number to this, and I am off to the races for another year. And makes a cheap spare phone also, of one just used for long distance calls, or leave with an older parent in case of emergency.

Adequate backup phone
It's not bad for a backup phone. I'm not sure I would use it as a primary phone. Major pros are the price, runs Android, easy to activate, fully functional and runs the basics of Android, runs on Verizon's Network. Cons. Slow recharging speed even using a 35 watt PD fast charger, screen lags and is a little unresponsive on touch, takes about 2 and 1/2 hours initially to download all of the Android updates (luckily you only have to do it once). I needed a cheap backup emergency phone that I would use in case my primary phone konks out. This fits the bill perfectly. It comes with one year year TracFone service albeit with a small amount of data, talk time and number of texts. However, since it's for me, it's a backup phone. The one-year plan is a plus, especially at this price. I recommend it. Update 1-21-2026 Now that I've had and used the phone for a while, I thought I would update my review. I stand by the four stars. It is a good backup phone and for light to moderate use, it's an okay phone to use. The fingerprint reader is integrated to the on off button . The cable that comes with the phone has a USBC connector on one end and a USBA connector on the other end. The phone doesn't come with a charger, so if your charger at home is a USB C connector, the cable that comes with the phone won't work with your charger. You'll need to order another USBC to USBC cable. Also, the phone only has 64 gig of storage. It does have the capability of expanding storage via MicroSD card. You can pick up a cheap 128 GB SD card Amazon brand. The phone also comes with a SIM tool which what you'll need because the SD card resides with your Sim card. If you use the SD card for your photos, go into the camera app settings and change where the photos will be kept in your DCIM folder. In your photos app settings under backup scroll down and select backup device folders. Make sure the pictures, folder and dcim folder are backed up from the SD card not the phone. I was able to reduce the lag time on phone startup by deleting most of the bloatware apps that come with the phone. I'd suggest deleting all the apps that you're not going to use after you activate the phone. That includes a ton of games of the Candy Crush variety. Youtube and ticktock work fine. So it's okay for playing videos. The phone will walk you through activation but in my case it took about 10 minutes before the process started. I didn't initiate it. Activation was simple and easy, but you'll need to sign into the TracFone account app which activation will walk you through. Charging time is still slow even though Motorola says it's turbocharging. My phone arrived 63% charged and it took 2 and 1/2 hours for it to charge to 100%.. I was using a 35 w PD fast charger to charge the phone. So if you extrapolate how long it took to charge the phone about 40%. It will take about 4 and 1/2 to 5 hours to fully charge a depleted phone. The phone comes with Android 14 as stated and the security updates it took about an hour to install. It stayed on Android 14. No upgrade to Android 15. If you use a third party password manager that is not the Google password manager, you'll need to make changes to the Chrome browser and autofill settings. To do this Turn you'll need to enable two optional Chrome flags. In Google search Chrome browser changes for autofill Android 14 Chrome flag settings. The search list three flag settings in Chrome to enabled, but it turns out only two were in the version of Chrome that ships with the phone . Enable those two flags and restart Chrome. There's a button on the bottom of the flag enable screen that restarts Chrome .Follow the instructions listed in The Google search steps to Enable Third-Party Autofill on Android 14. If you're using Google password manager, you don't need to do this. Because the phone only has four MB of RAM. Some apps run on this phone. Doordash is one of them. That's it. As I said it's a nice little phone for backup or light to medium use.

Good phone good deal ... Crap service and year service removed at a month
Great deal.... I tend to break all my phones eventually so I buy the cheaper, tougher ones ... This phone is tough and handles a lot of abuse & at $50 it came with the year of minutes and texts and a GB or two of data too.... The bad... I had to call and have it manually added as it did not add automatically as it usually does and is supposed to, ok ... Not so bad THEN... I had active service and minutes till 3/27 ... All of a sudden a month in to the year, a couple weeks ago my phone did not work and I had no service. I attempted to contact customer service but without a phone I could not call and only could use the chat service. The women insisted I never had a year of service while my account showed active and good till 2027.... She said my service was through SafeLink. I do and haven't had SafeLink but in this case the minutes came with the TracFone phone I bought from the TracFone store on Amazon .... TracFone the key word but because I had no way to call and she refused to listen I had to purchase a month service and now lost my year service and am not even bothering to fight to have to fixed ... I am mad ... It was a super crazy good deal to begin with but still a deal offered and a deal I paid for and have the right to now use and enjoy ....

Great Buy!
It was easier than I expected to make the switch from Apple this round. The phone and camera work great. Itโs a Motorola product and expected to be right. The size is right. The only problem I have had is the auto installation of apps I neither want or need. I will communicate efficiently with the droid eventually. Definitely a financially wise buy.

This Tracfone saved me.
I had been without a phone for two weeks as I lost cellular service and my iPhone was my only phone I could use. I had a great customer service experience with Tracfone over their online chat which was the only way I could communicate. I received this really nice sleek Motorola phone, my first Android device. I just needed it for basic Internet and phone calling and I received the full 1500 minutes as stated. The set up was easy. Please note: This device does come with a SIM card. At first I didn't see it when I pulled out the tray but I failed to pull it all the way out where there was an installed micro SIM card. I can't thank Tracfone enough for getting me connected so I could sort out my phone issues with my other carrier.
