Review: Make sure your amp is adjusted properly. - After unboxing and installation I was not impressed initially. I had 2 10inch JL audio subwoofers installed previously. I knew these subs would not have such a good rating without them being good subs so I figured it was user error. I have these paired to a 500 watt amp and the amp settings were not adequate for this sub. I made some adjustments to my amplifiers settings ensuring there was no distortion and these subs are crisp.... I paid 500 dollars for my JL audio subs and these will blow them out of the water any day. It hits hard deep, hits the mid’s so crisp that it will make you want to forget about any other sub. I have been into car audio for ten years and these 200 dollar subs out perform 500 dollar and 800 dollar subs in the same class by far. Do the research, adjust your amp, ensure your installation is professionally done if you have no experience and you will enjoy these. I can feel the bass hit in my chest and I have a Scat pack challenger. Go outside and the trunk rattles just a little to the point where you can tell it’s a sub inside but not two 12’s but when you get inside it’s so crisp and clean. I will be putting some sound dampening in my trunk to get rid of that little rattle. Just pay the money if a 500 watt amp can push like that on these subs I can only imagine what a 1200 watt would do. I will be upgrading in the future to bigger amp and adding a capacitor but these should be good for a year.

**Q: “Will a powebass 1000d 1000W Rms @ 1ohm mono amp? Is my amp to over powered?”**
A: No. Just turn the power down to match the output you want to achieve or connect a base control

**Q: How is the non ported one 400w rms and the ported ones 1000w rms is it the same speakers?**
A: I spoke directly with MXT regarding this question.  The woofer in the 400w sealed enclosure is a different woofer than the woofer that is in the 1000w ported enclosure.

**Q: Are these speakers loud? I currenty have 2 kicker R dual voice coil subs and a old school 1,200 watt  amp.now add these speakers with a 500 mono block**
A: Yes they hit hard and very loud

**Q: What amp settings should i run? such as gain eq settings and such. i have a 1500watt rms skar amp**
A: I have mine on one quarter but usually can set by ear if it sounds like cracking turn it down

Vented MTX enclosure paired with Rockford Fosgate Prime 500 amp on a factory 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited head unit. It’s a great set up. Know how to set your amp up and get an amp with a remote gain control. It’s the only way you will ever get the most out of any music in any system. If you set it and forget it some music will be weak and some will be distorted. I have had many expensive systems and this is as good as any of them. You will get a ticket if you crank it and yes it will piss the neighbors off. If you want to drain your vehicles battery, spend a ton of time and money to shake the house a mile a way then go 100% custom. Build your own box and drain your account while destroying your hearing. Been there and done that not worth it. Save your money instead of impressing no one but your friends for 5 minutes. This is a great set up that will last you for years. Rear face the subs in your trunk of cargo area with grills over the subs. You now have bass.
