This works amazingly well as a color-depositing conditioner, but it's not going to just "dye" your hair. It is temporary and washes out. You can re-apply to get the color back. I expect that, but if you're expecting it to stay, it really won't. The Espresso Brown color is very pretty, a nice, not-too-dark dark brown, pretty much neutral (no red tones in it). It can stain things like cloth, and may stain skin if you don't wash it off quickly. I use it in the shower and do my hair first, then everything else, and by the time I'm done, my hands are unstained again. Some residual color may come off on towels, so I use the same towel every time I use this (one I don't care about). Great for a boost to faded brown haircolor.

I really like this conditioner. I got it to extend the life of my purple hair. It was fantastic. It conditions beautifully and doesn't make a mess although I do wear gloves when I apply it. The color is beautiful. It's a true lilac with a sort of silver shimmer to it. Really lovely and perfectly enhances my fading purple. My only problem is that the bottle is so small. I have shoulder length hair and it lasts less than 2 washes. The color doesn't last that long so I have to use it weekly. That's just not enough product for $13. If the bottle were bigger, this would definitely be the product for me. It's simply too expensive.

after trying many other blue shampoos, conditioners, and glosses, all of which made zero change in my hair, I bought this one because it was advertised to me by amazon at a low price. I didn’t except it to do anything, just like the others, but on the contrary immediately I could tell that the pigment in this product is much stronger than in others as it immediately stained my hands (and it wouldn’t wash off completely for a couple days). I used a little longer than directed the first time (for 10-15 min in the shower) and right after drying off my hair I could already tell my hair was literally BLUE, not just toned. I was so excited that finally a blue hair product had some effect! After shampooing around 3 days in a row, the blue faded and my hair just had a nice ash brown shade (which probably would have been accomplished if I let the conditioner stay in for 3-5 min originally instead of 10-15). the color does noticeably rinse off in the shower but that’s not a problem for me because i can just keep reapplying it (once-twice a week or so seems good). it does make the shower blue as well, but it is completely able to be cleaned off with regular shower spray cleaner. To summarize, this product is noticeably more powerful than others on the market (and I tried several brands including more expensive “salon” ones), and I am finally done searching for an effective blue-toning hair product…. By the way: I have natural (not color treated or bleached) medium brown, fine hair which loses pigment easily in the summer and turns orange. The attached picture shows before using the product at all and after using it and even shampoing a couple times, and both were taken under natural sunlight. This conditioner made my hair the exact shade I wanted, more similar to how it looks in the winter; but my friend with bleached blonde hair tried it for just one minute and it turned her hair bright blue! So how long and how often you use it should depend on your particular hair situation, given that it is so powerful…!

I used it for the first time last night and it looks great! I'm glad I picked the right color, which was I believe was Espresso Brown. My hair does look more shiny but it's not quite as soft and glossy as I was expecting. However, the color looks good. My roots were starting to be a different color and the tips of my hair which were black originally were starting to fade and it just kind of gave this overall seamless color to everything. My roots blend very nicely now. I didn't exactly time it but I put on two Taylor Swift songs before washing out. The only thing is it did stain my hands but a little alcohol on a cotton swab took it out easily! Highly recommend.

This works, it's just very hard to match up the color/tone without using it. It's a decent product, but I'm having a hard time just finding a brown

Been using this consistently for the last week and have noticed no difference to my hair. My hair is light blonde, leaning towards honey blonde -- I was looking for something that would take it to a more ashy light grey or silvery tone. Unfortunately, this has been a waste of money on that aspect. It does work decent as a conditioning mask and leaves your hair feeling very soft but that was not my main motivation for purchasing this product.

I think it's a good product. I mixed the tube with half a bottle of a white conditioner. I'm 68, I have a lot of grey hair in the front of my face and scattered throughout the back. I still have quite a bit of dark brown hair. I only bought it to make that hair look better, I don't expect anything to color the greys. It does seem to 'blonde' the greys up a bit. It doesn't stain hands, nails or shower tiles and grout (I have a white shower stall). It doesn't dry out my hair or stain my scalp. The only reason I gave it four stars is because of the small amount you get. But if that's what it is so be it.
