Assembly was fairly straightforward. it wasn't hard to put together by any means. The kid loves it and hasn't tore anything up yet. I honestly love everything about it: the fact that you can choose where to put the stairs, the included light strip, the multiple plug-in options, all of the hanging options with the little metal pegboard thing, the little pocket organizer that hangs up at the top for a remote or books or phone or whatever the kid might need to put in it, the drawers, the L-shaped desk and a Shelf. I think it was a pretty well thought out design. I think we got a 5 inch twin mattress and it fits perfectly. Due to everything it offers I think its a pretty great value

Others say that the bed doesn't come with the right amount of screws, but for me it came for way more than needed. I'm about 5'7 and I have to crouch to use the desk so beware if you're tall and planning to buy this. The entire frame itself is quite tall and holds the bed well. I'm 135 pounds and it doesn't feel unstable at all. The only issue is that if you don't secure it to the wall it begins to shake a lot and that the little drawers that they give you aren't actual wood, it's fabric with wood print on it. There is a lot of space underneath. You can totally build this entire thing by yourself in about four hours without any breaks in between. They give you all the materials needed and the instructions are very well laid out. Some parts might be missed if you aren't looking closely. DO NOT get a thick mattress with this. The frame itself it already very high in about a 7-9 foot tall room, getting a thick mattress will make you sleep very close to the ceiling. The screws that come to install the outlet securely are very small and didn't fit into the hole. I'd recommend getting this for a medium-large size room, not a small one unless you want it to feel cramped.

Not bad to build, especially the second one! There are a few places you really have to pay attention so you don't install something backwards or upside down, but it's fairly easy to fix those mistakes. I wish the desk was more supported for heavier PC and monitors. But my boys like them!

Should have been a sign when the First one got lost at a FedEx warehouse and never showed up. They refunded me my money and I ordered another one. My 13 year old daughter and I put this together ourselves. The instructions were very easy to understand. It seemed to be a good value for the money. It has a lot of shelving. My main issue was the screws came in all mixed up so we had to play the guessing game on which screws were which and they were very similar. At first it was very stable, it even came with hardware to secure the bed to the wall to make it more secure. It gives my daughter a lot more room in her bedroom. However, The ladder is a little narrow for older kids, but the steps are thicker and nicer than most bunk beds. However after just a week or so of use the screws started working themselves loose and I found myself making trips to the hardware store to buy replacement hardware to attempt to make the bed safe again. The slats keep falling out of thr bottom of the bed and the mattress keeps falling through the bottom and it makes the bed very dangerous. When I contacted the company about this they offered me $30 of the $260.xx I spent on the bed. I cannot replace the death trap with even a remotely decent bed with $30. This company is a joke. My daughter is now sleeping on the couch. I have officially filed a complaint with Amazon.

Absolutely love this bed for my 8 year old. I know due to the hight of it he won't have many years left in it. Our ceiling is only 8 foot, and the bed is only maybe two feet from the ceiling. But for younger kids or those with higher ceilings its amazing. The ladder is a little bit of a squeeze for an adult,especially a mama with hips. It does shake a little as you climb the stairs,but my husband and I have both climbed up in the bed, and it did not tip. We have attached a lego set to the top of the desk,We have his tv and his gaming system,all on top of the desk with room to spare. We use the 5 cubby hole system that it has to store his books. His legos and some of his other games. We do not use it as a dresser. We definitely spent a little more to be able to use the peg boards as you have to buy peg board attachments to customize it to your needs. We bought black lights that are magnetic. I bought a surge protector and mounted it under his desk as the few outlets it comes with was not enough for our needs. My son and everyone who has seen his room now want it.

Ordered this for my son for Christmas to give him some extra floor space in his bedroom. The size is a full which was nice so he could keep his old mattress. The height is a bit taller than other bunks and the desk, shelves and ladder are all thick and sturdy and I love that the ladder is changeable from the side or the end. I wish the desk were the headboard were also changeable to help an accommodate for different group layouts. It is wobbly if it isn’t able to be mounted to the wall, which we were unable to do the stickers that came with it to cover those grew holes on the ladder and the desk were way off color. The ladder could probably use at least one maybe two more steps because they are pretty wide in it. I also wish it included non-skid grips for the ladder because if you have socks on without the grip, it is slippery, which can be a fall and a slip hazard. My son has had it for over a week and it still iffy on getting up and down because he is afraid of falling as am I when I have to climb up and down the pegboard on both sides and the basket at the top for remote and odds and ends are nice. It would be nice if they added a cupholder for the top in case you get where to get thirsty and middle of a night instead of having to climb down my other complaint is where the electrical plug outlet is it’s on the top of the desk instead of on the side or something so if you were to spill any liquids on top of the desk, there is a potential for the spill to get on the electrical outlet. The LED lights are also nice. The instructions were sometimes hard to understand. There was a few pieces that we had to put aside and skip a step to figure out how it was supposed to go together I do wish the metal was a little thicker so it wasn’t quite as wobbly but overall for the value of the money and what you’re getting with this bed frame and set up as well worth the money just be prepared to spend the entire day, putting it all together indefinitely. Make sure that you have something for the ladder to help with grip keep in mind in the outlet and the wobbly. Perfect idea for any kid or teenager that likes to gain or do crafts or build Legos.

The bed was not that hard to assemble. It took two of us and we built it in a bout 5-6 hours. The bed is sturdy was screwed to the wall. I am 5’1 and I can stand comfortably underneath it but I can’t see the top of it. The height is great my son has enough room to get on without bumping his head on the ceiling. The value is great for the price.

This is a great bed and desk for the money. Gave it 5 stars even though it was missing a part. The company was quick about sending the needed part.
