We use our instant Pot several times a week and, after a few weeks, decided that we really needed extra seals for when the original is in the dishwasher. We've used these many times now, without running into any problems. They're also dishwasher safe and seem to be basically the same material and quality as the original Instant Pot seal. They work exactly the same during cooking. No gaps or flimsy fitting problems. I would caution you to just make sure that you run your hand all the way around the seal when installing it to make sure that it's seated properly on the ring in the lid before cooking. If your cooker won't pressurize, then it's probably because there's a gap from the sealing ring not being installed properly (or at all ;-). The evidence will be all of your liquids steaming out of the pot.

The three seals arrived punctually and well-packaged. As I pulled everything out of the box, there was a card in with all the packing materials. I opened it, and surprised -- actually, amazed -- to find a handwritten note inside. The writer of the card was personally thanking me for choosing to buy from their small family-owned business. Success #1: giving me a warm, personal impression as a customer! Success #2: The seals are of excellent quality. I like the three colors: I use white for the lighter cooking smells, such as rice, yogurt, or other mild foods. Green is for legumes, stews, chicken dishes. Black is for strong smells such as curries. At first the seals felt too tight to install well. But the tightness eased up "just enough" to fit into the lid a little more easily, but they don't stretch out enough to loosen during the cooking time. My other seals haven't lasted long, and way too often I've come in to see if the dish was done and the valve had never even popped up because suddenly the silicone ring was not sealing completely due to having stretched too much to have a tight fit inside the Instant Pot lid. These seals seem to be slightly more heavy-duty, perhaps just a little thicker. They are holding up to the heat, wear, and tear of someone whose IP is in use nearly every single day, at least once. I was truly struggling to like my IP. After my first few uses, things went downhill fast. My recipes always started out well, I would brown the meat and saute the savories, filling the kitchen with lovely smells. But when I went on to seal the pot to pressure cook, it all fall apart. Upon opening the pot after release, the good smells were all gone and replaced by a dank odor. I could not get over the odor, it affected the taste of the food. It took me a few times around of cooking to realize the silicone ring was the culprit. I tried running the IP with vinegar and lemon, soaking the ring in vinegar, soaking the ring in baking soda, running it through the dishwasher, all to no avail. I was poised to get rid of my pot. The I saw the Amazon reviews of this product. I ordered a set. I cooked with a new ring. Success! I am so thankful that these folks offer these rings — which fit perfectly — at a reasonable cost AND with color coding. Shipped quickly, packaged well, nice personal thank you note. A++ transaction.

Works very well for Instapot. I can keep one for yogurt and another for very savory dishes like curry without having the yogurt absorbing some of the spice flavors. All the silicon rings absorb the spicy flavors so having three rings gives me plenty of options and increases the ways I can use the Instant Pot--savory, baked goods and desserts, and neutral tasting foods.

The first recipe I did in my Instant Pot was Chicken Fajita Soup. It was awesome but not the smell of the silicone seal after! I tried everything! Baking soda, vinegar, dish soap, etc. Then, wrote the IP Company. They gave me similar things to try. Finally a mixture of Hydrogen Peroxide, baking soda, Dawn dish soap and cover in water and soaked over night made it better, but still shew! So I decided to get more seals so that I could use the original stinky one when using chili powder in any recipe, and use the new ones for milder dishes, like Cheeseburger Pasta, which I made last night using one of the new rings I am now reviewing. When I contacted IP Co, they said they were on back order, it was not recommended to get one off Amazon, but hey, everything has worked from Amazon, or I have returned for free with my Prime membership, so it was certainly worth a try. The new rings are advertised as being more solid, less porous (than the original ring), which reduces odors. So, I ordered them and they are just as they say they are! Fit great, not a bad odor, but I am saving the original ring for stinky stuff, and I am very satisfied with my purchase! Thanks!

These feel like better material and of a higher quality than the one that came with the Instant Pot I bought at the discount warehouse that starts with a "C". They fit perfectly, or rather the same exact way that the original ring fits. Even with the original one, one has to be careful that the ring is fully seated. With the original ring that came with my Instant Pot, I had some leakage one time. I realized then that it's important to give the ring a little twist or rotation, like steering a steering wheel on a car, after you put it on. If the ring slides or rotates freely, then you have it all the way on. If not, then there is a probably a tiny portion of the ring that is binding up and not fully seated and needs a little extra push. Hope that helps. I find that I use this same technique with these new rings and it works the same as the original. The quality is just outstanding, and they will probably outlast my instant pot.

I don’t write very many reviews, but this product deserves one. These sealing rings are great. They very well made, they work well and it’s nice to have different colors for different foods. I was a little hesitant to purchase them because a few of the 1 star reviews said they didn’t seal and/or leaked. I decided to give them a try. Mine have a perfect seal and I’m so glad I got them. Excellent product! They even came with a handwritten thank you card. I’ve purchased cheaper sealing rings in the past and they worked but didn’t last long. The quality of these rings are superior to others I’ve purchased so I’ll be a return customer.
