Dupont Connector Kit —620 Pcs Crimp Housing Connector Kit with Dupont Wire Connectors-A Set of Male and Female 2.54 mm Dupont Connectors and Crimp Pins

The Kincrea Pin housing connectors and Dupont crimp pins adaptor assortment is very useful kit for building Arduino projects. Various sized housings make it easy to make up cables to various peripherals using the common .025 (JST) pins. I often use needle-nose pliers to crimp, although there are inexpensive crimp tools available. Good value!

Wonderful assortment of plug housings along with the male/female pins. As pictured, the handy plastic box contains all pieces neatly sorted; the pins are on two metal rolls ready to dispense a single pin at-a-time. The pictured project was completed the same day the pin/plug package arrived. I used six pins with both stranded (18 AWG speaker wire) and solid 22 AWG wire (underneath nano microcontroller so not shown directly) to supply power. Pin and plug combos were used both on the 5V power supply and from the breadboard to the nano (so the nano can be detached from the permanent header for reuse). The pins were used without a plug on the very top of the breadboard since the connection wasn't snug enough with a plug; I'll need to revisit why. The quality appears good so would recommend and gladly repurchase.

Worked well for my project. Using them on stranded CAT-5e cable, 28 ga. I found a 1.6mm crimp fits best. The female sockets need to be pushed all the way in for them to engage the male pins and the retention lock. If you only push them till the front catches the retention lock they look good but won’t connect well. The pin 1 markers are all the same so they don’t line up when making male/female sets. I just used a white paint marker to mark it; much easier to see. A cheap plastic pin insert/removal tool would be a nice touch.

I prefer SL connectors but couldn’t find the kit. So got this and tried it. Works out nicely.

Perfect for drones, microcircuits, and 3D printers. Be sure to purchase the correct size crimping tool as it is needed. I would not recommend using needle Noze pliers with these connectors pins as they are quite small. Highly recommended.

The plastic box containing all the parts doesn't keep them all in their separate cubby holes and they were all jumbled when I opened the container. So I went to organize them and found that several parts were missing and in one case, they substituted 2x6 connectors for a shortage of 2x5 connectors (see photo).

Works great. The bodies with 2 rows of connectors come in handy, never knew that they had them like that.
