Review: Amazing and safe!!! - I have an old school mandolineand have used it for years. However, I've always feared loosing a fingertip or two. No more fear!!! Additionally my old mandoline also had several inserts for julienning. No more - These blades are built-in and easy to put into use. I have used it for making a mirepoix in just minutes. Quckly slicing potatoes and onions for a potatoes au gratin! It's so fast and fun. Seems to also be vrey sturdy. My only wish is that it had bigger opening for the deliver chute and receptical for the output. If a bigger version comes out, I'm sure I'll be lining up to buy it.

I have an old school mandolineand have used it for years. However, I've always feared loosing a fingertip or two. No more fear!!! Additionally my old mandoline also had several inserts for julienning. No more - These blades are built-in and easy to put into use. I have used it for making a mirepoix in just minutes. Quckly slicing potatoes and onions for a potatoes au gratin! It's so fast and fun. Seems to also be vrey sturdy. Great design, no longer concerned about risk of cutting self You do need to cut large vegetables to fit in the opening which is not a problem Easy to assemble Would be good if there was a setting 0.5mm setting as 1mm is the thinest The cutting gauge is numbered from 0-8, however because the numerals are white it's hard to see I'm still trying to work out how to cut different shapes as the instructions are not clear but overall really happy.
