Update!!! I have had a few boxes since the shrinkage review. They have been the regular size, so I am still hoping it was a total one off. I am adding a star back and do recommend as a great source of protein and fiber. I really like these and eat them often. I had to reduce a couple of stars due to shrinkflation. The bars in my last box were like 25% smaller. Still had others to compare to. That’s super disappointing when paying this much for a protein bar. Hopefully it’s a one off. If so, I will edit my review

Best dairy free protein bar!! My son finally found a protein bar he can eat and actually takes delicious! Plus, it is low carb and sugar which is great!

I am lactose and soy intolerant and it is so hard to find an affordable protein that you can swallow. I’m not a fan of every no cow flavor, but the birthday cake is my FAVORITE!! The texture is just right. It’s chewy, but not too soft, mushy, or dry… it’s smooth, no weird bumps or crunches (other than the sprinkles on top- which I do not have a problem with). The taste is balanced. It’s sweet but not in a sickening way and I have not experienced any aftertaste. It’s almost like having a treat, only it’s got 20g of protein! AND, I don’t have to worry about stomach upset because I can trust the ingredients. I think it’s worth the $. I have this flavor on a monthly subscription.

At only 190 calories with a solid 20g of protein, it’s an awesome option when I want something filling without going overboard. The dipped coating makes it feel more like a treat, and the birthday cake flavor is sweet without being overpowering. It’s not overly chewy or chalky like some vegan bars can be — the texture is firm but not too dry. I also appreciate that it’s dairy-free, low in sugar, and has a good amount of fiber. It fits easily into my macros, especially on busy days when I need something quick. If you’re used to traditional candy bars, the taste might be a bit different, but for a clean protein bar, this one definitely delivers. Will be stocking up!
