When you get a good one, they're hard to beat: great paint density, and the tip doesn't blow out easily, keeping a nice, neat line. Unfortunately, the chance of a good one is about 60/40. When you get a bad one, it leaks immediately, and falls apart soon after, as pictured. This was a brand new pen, just opened. Leaked paint on my $2000 100+ year old desk.Will NOT be buying again...

When it decides to work right its nice, but you can't count on it. It may be better if you use it more than me ( 3x a month) but am disappointed in what little use I have gotten out of it. Kept the lid on tight too.

This pen contains a cylinder full of white paint/ink. Inside there is some sort of metal bearing that you shake to mix the paint. The tip is fine and you compress it, to get the pen going. Sometimes it works.Other times nothing happens. You shake and you press the tip down and nothing. So you sit there wondering what's happening. Then, suddenly, a huge blob of ink leaks out from the top of the tip. You make a mess. Or, if you are prepared you wipe it off. And start again. And again, nothing happens, no amount of shaking or pressing on the tip will do. You get nothing, or a huge leak.But not a measured constant flow. Then, all of a sudden, it may just decide to work. Until you put it away for next time that is.I have two of these, both behave the same, full of ink inside but nothing comes out normally. Or you get blobs of ink leaked on your work.Bad design, avoid.

This pen worked perfectly for first few garden labelsBut then when I came to use again it just keeps putting big sticky puddles of liquid out which is hard to clean off anything including my fingers...it’s like gloss paintSomeone else said that theirs does the same but then sometimes works but it’s a real pain as while trying it’s ruining my labels
