Bosch S5A11 Car Battery 80A / h-800A

I’ve been using this Bosch car battery for two weeks now and, honestly, so far so good. No issues at all with starting, even on colder mornings, which was something I was slightly worried about before fitting it. One thing I noticed pretty quickly, and this was actually a nice surprise, was the start-stop system. It hadn’t been working for a couple of years before, so I’d kind of forgotten about it. But after installing the new battery, it started working again after about 3 miles of driving and has been fine ever since. That alone makes me think the old battery was definitely past its best. The fitment was straightforward on my W213 (2017 diesel), and everything just worked as it should. No warning lights, no coding issues, nothing unexpected. Price-wise, it’s also very competitive. Compared to places like Halfords or Kwik Fit, this felt like much better value for money, especially considering the quality. Overall, I’d recommend it, especially if your start-stop hasn’t been working and you suspect the battery might be the cause. In my case, it seems that was exactly it.

Arrived in very good time and a 'too good to be true price' for a Bosch A series AGM battery? Checked on arrival, 100% health (very well packed in sturdy box and packing) and 100% charged with very good internal R of 2.78 mOhms. A 100% new battery and another happy customer. Buy with confidence and ignore any negative remarks below.

An absolute bugger to fit into my AMG. But to be fair 90% of the battle was getting the old one out with the very deep seating bracket. The biggest downside in fitting was that it weighs a TON and can only go in at an awkward angle. I gave up with the seating bracket since the thing has no room to move around in the cavity anyway... but the breather hose thing did snap off during my wiggling around to get it to drop in. Bought a new one for... I think about 8 quid. The battery itself is brilliant tho. I dread to think what Mercedes would have charged me. The only downside is auto-stop-start works again... and I frequently fail to remember to turn it off (I live in the city. Traffic creeps. It will stop/start 3 or 4 times a minute if I leave it on. Im sure we all agree that is excessive. But not the batteries fault).

Ordered and was delivered a day early, pleasantly surprised. Fit as expected. However this is either not an original Bosch Battery or not a new battery does not start first time when weather is cold have taken it on long run to ensure charge and still same issue have had the battery three days and returning. Had to go to Halfords to get confirmation that the battery is not new.

I started experiencing battery issues on my 2013 Porsche Boxster which was still on its original factory fitted battery. Porsche themselves charge over £400 to supply and fit a new one so I wasn’t keen on paying that. A quick search online showed this is a direct replacement, same size and slightly more capacity at an absolute fraction of the price. Fitted fairly easily (watch your back!) and I coded it onto the car with my icarsoft obd reader. Normal service resumed and all battery problems gone. I have heard that if you want to extend the official Porsche warranty they’ll reject a non-Porsche branded battery so that’s something to be aware of if you go this route.

Was soll ich schreiben, qualitativ hochwertige AGM Starterbatterie, die unauffällig und zuverlässig im Hintergrund ihren Dienst tut. Alte ausgebaut, neue eingebaut, kurz mit Carly angelernt und gut ist. Ne Menge Geld habe ich auch noch gespart. Start Stop funktioniert wieder, alles gut. Mal sehen, ob sie auch 10 Jahre hält, wie die alte Batterie.

バッチリ復活しました！車両はベンツE350 ブルーテックステーションワゴン W212です。 最後は完全にバッテリーが死んでいたみたいで。エアサスもセルもピクリともしませんでした。ブースターケーブルで新品のバッテリーから繋いでもダメなんですね。古いバッテリーは外して新しいのを付けないと。知らなかった。。。セルモーターや他まで死んでしまったかと思ってしまいました。
