The lacrosse balls work great but to be honest there isn't really all that ...
I have some hard lacrosse balls at my gym but wanted a set for home. The lacrosse balls work great but to be honest there isn't really all that much to them and they perform just like others I have used. The massage plate is ok, it does not appear to be made of the sturdiest material but seems to be holding up as of now. The massage plate prevents the lacrosse balls from sticking out more than a quarter inch, which actually can be beneficial if you are just starting to use massage balls. However, if you are a regular user you may find yourself using the lacrosse balls on the floor or against the wall before you know it. The plate does not allow the lacrosse balls to move or roll under your body as you apply pressure. This feature can be both good and bad as it has a tendency to bunch up your gym shorts but also allows you to easily pinpoint a particular spot. Overall for the price point I wasn't expecting anything spectacular and they do the trick. The massage plate is a great concept and I think with a little ingenuity you could really improve upon this product.

Subluxated ("popped") ribs? This thing is is divine.
I am prone to "popping" a particular rib on either side of my cervical spine whenever I spend a lot of time sitting at a computer or behind a steering wheel. If this has ever happened to you, you know how excruciatingly painful that can be.For me, placing a tennis or lacrosse ball at the head of the offending rib and lying back or leaning against it is the only thing that helps (apart from a visit to a massage therapist or someone who does osteomanipulation).I keep a ball in my suitcase (air travel being another trigger) and one in my car for this purpose . Problem is, they're balls and they roll out of position, so I'm constantly having readjust them to keep the thing in the perfect spot. That's where this foam base comes in. It keeps the balls from rolling out of place. Lying with my back on it, the balls placed on either side of my cervical spine, opens my back up in such a way as to perfectly counteract the shoulders-forward, computer-user slump.I'm going to figure out a way to strap it to the driver's seat, too, to force me into proper posture while I drive and to relieve the pain if I have a rib head is out of place. The one drawback is the smell when you first take it out of the bag. Instant migraine. I put it outside for a few hours and it dissipated significantly. No more headaches. Still, it's not something you'll want to bury my nose in and take a deep breath. All in all, a great device.

I love this massage plate
I love this massage plate! I purchased some Beaver Lax massage balls a few months ago and I have been very happy with the results. So, when I noticed that they also sell a massage plate, I thought I should try it. There are several ways to use the massage plate. My discomfort is in my lower back. What has worked best for me, is to place the plate behind my back while sitting in a chair. It comes with a visual instruction chart that shows the various ways to use the plate. Since using the massage plate, I have been able to cut back on getting professional massages which has been a real cost savings! I recommend this product to anyone with muscle tension or pain.

Amazing product!!!
This product has been a God send. I have fibromyalgia and my muscles get in very large knots so I ordered this to see if I could get any relief from the pain and I was totally amazed how it released those knots I finally was out of pain and the more I use it the more I'm able to do my day to day chores. I'm so happy my PT therapist recommended that I get tennis balls BUT when I saw this I just had to try it. I'm so glad I did. The lacrosse balls seem to get those deep tissue knots which relieves the pain. I would recommend this product for anyone suffering with chronic muscle pain and need relief.

5 Stars - Back, Neck, Leg and Plantrs Fasciitis RELIEF
I used my Massage Plate for the first time last night and again this morning for my over stressed upper and lower back and it worked great. I also used it on my tense neck and on my Plantars Fasciitis (sore lower foot arch). It was simple and easy to use and it came with self explanatory directions for various uses. My daughter runs cross country and track, so she used it on her calfs and legs last night and asked if she could have it. It is so compact and light, I'm going to take it on my next business trip. It was a great value as well as I didn't have to buy a big piece of equipment, leave the house or spend a $150 on a massage. I used it in the privacy of my own home while relaxing watching a movie. I am pleasantly surprised!

the balls are way too small and barely stick out of the foam holder
the balls are way too small and barely stick out of the foam holder and won't be able to hit any trigger points...would have to take them out of foam, so what's the point??!!!

The plate is a great addition to my arsenal.
I really like this massage plate. It's versatile and really easy to use.The balls are spaced out perfectly to hit the trigger points in my upper back (Rhomboids,) at the same time. Also, I can stand on it and massage both feet at the same time.I weigh 250+ and I have worked this thing over. No signs that it will not hold up.I ordered extra Beaver LAX balls to give the plate more versatility.

A GOOD IDEA.
A good idea when you can't keep pressure point balls in place. I don't feel it does much good when you just press up against it, as it does not have enough weight to do the job. It works best when your body is used as a weight to press down on the floor or on a bed, it works great for deep tissue pressure point massage.
