I've worn them in the rain many times without a problem. Mind you, I wouldn't submerge them fully in water. They are very nice, comfortable and warm boots. Highly recommend!! **Q: Do these boots suit wide feet with high arches?** A: I myself have wide feet and high arches. I did purchase I size higher than normal and my boots fitted like a glove. I’ve had them about 9 months and wear them daily walking my three dogs every morning mainly over farm land. Mine arrived today and the delivery was quick from order. They are not the lightest in weight but buy far are quality made. From the vibram heavy duty foot sole to the high rubber base surround. These look like they can handle some mud. High quality leather uppers with strong lace ties complimented with a suede ankle support. Really well padded inside I wore these straight out of the box and did a 4mile walk with no problems.Goretex water proofing adds confidence in wet weather and they are breathable too.I have a pair of Hillwalker 2 and they have lasted for some years so looking at these I would assess these will follow suit.One last thing to add, they come with a free repair for free not sure on all the info there so please check as I will but worth noting here.For me a tad on the high cost side but if your serious about walking etc and want a quality product as always you get what you pay for.
