Archival Frame Sealing Tape, Gray, 1.25 Inch x 85 Feet

This is a game changer for those who do there own framing. It works great for sealing up your back when framing whatever you are framing. For me that would be my cross stitch projects. This is what makes it airtight and waterproof so that dust or humidity won't seep inside and affect your fabric or photo. I didn't know it was on the market until a Google search gave me the tip when I didn't know how to finish the back of my framing piece. It's very useful, very sticky and stays put so be careful when you place it down as I don't think it's repositionable. Quality tape, holds it in place, comes in either white or silver. Easy to use and very versatile. So glad I found it.

This works well at sealing my framed artwork. Easy to use. The only thing I would like is for it to be offered in tan/brown color.

I didn't find this tape to have a strong adhesive. It does not conform to surface very well and it does tear easily.

Used to replace old tape that was falling off. It worked well. My picture was signed in 1982 looks Great and is preserved hopefully for another 40+ years!

Acid free and safe for the artwork. Once it arrived, I set to work re-doing an old frame of a wonderful print I wanted to preserve. Within 20 minutes I was able to seal the frame back with a professional finish, redo the wire hanging, and hang it in its place of honor. I love this tape.

I bought this tape for quick frame repairs, to seal the gap between a wooden frame molding and the cardboard backing or space filler that is used to fill the gap in the frame rabbet and to protect the back of photos and prints. The tape's effectiveness seems to depend greatly on the texture of the material it covers, though it is not easy to determine just what the prerequisites are. Sometimes it sticks well and sometimes it starts peeling off almost immediately; sometimes it does not hold any better than ordinary masking tape. This tape may work well for other framing related applications, but for frame sealing (which is its stated purpose) it should be used with caution. From my experience with this material three stars is a generous rating.

This seemed like a great product, however I found that it has rather poor adhesiveness on engineered wood. It just doesn't stick very well to the frame surfaces I tried it on. I even wonder if it will detach from the frame edge over time. A disappointment - the adhesive should have been stronger.

this does not stick. period. a waste of your money. It hardly sticks to anything, very minimal adhesive, don't know how they get away with selling it for backing a frame. It doesn't stick to wood, doesn't stick to canvas, it is not good for closing in frame on back of framed artwork, .....I AM TERRIBLY DISAPPOINTED
