After using almost 4 years we can't recommend these highly enough.
We spent a lot of time researching cloth diapers before we jumped in. Now almost 4 years later these are still going strong with our second child. We have 25 of these bad boys that still look almost like the day we bought them. We had to buy extra while we briefly had two kids in cloth at the same time. The washing has also been easier than I would have expected. We wash every other day on average and have an LG washer which uses very little water and lets us set the wash cycle with a pre-wash and 3 rinses. Be sure to never use a butt paste with these, they do stain and it takes a LONG time to get rid of the stain. Good 'ol sunshine works best. We switch to paper diapers when the kiddos have a rash that requires butt paste. We asked for these as a shower gift to reduce our initial investment. We also use the Bambino Mio nappy bucket. It is AMAZING at blocking the odor. Good luck! It seems daunting, but it's easier than you might think. Just think of all the money you'll save in the long run. : ) I hope this was helpful.

FABULOUS diaper... LOVE them! Makes CD'ing EASY!
BumGenius Freetime diapers are absolutely GREAT diapers. I have BumGenius 4.0, Rump A Roos, FuzzyBuns, Kiwi Pie, and Happy Heiny's... these are my favorite diapers. I've been using them for over 2 months, and they have never once leaked (whereas I can tell you for a fact that the others have leaked).Freetime diapers have 2 layers of stay-dry absorbent cloth that do NOT come apart from the diaper - You can fold them however you want into the inside of the diaper. The cloths are THE BEST part of the diaper. There is no stuffing involved (like pocket diapers), and they have the same great diaper qualities that the regular BG 4.0's have.Anyway, long story short- these are great. Some people have written that they are too bulky... but if thats the case, then just use them for an overnight dipe!UPDATE!!: I have been using these diapers for 4 months now, and they are still my favorite. So convenient!! I'm a working mom, so when my baby lays down for the night, and I have to wash the diapers, all i do is dump the entire wet bag into the washer and I'm done! I don't have to pull out the liners or worry about making sure any velcro will snag on anything. After they are dry, I save even more time by not having to stuff each and every one. It sounds like no big deal, to stuff a pocket diaper, but when there are so many other things on your "to do" list at night before bed, the last thing you want to do is spend time stressing over cloth diapers. These diapers make cloth diapering EASY!!A note about the "bulk" I mentioned in my first review... Since these diapers have been washed more, they have also lost their bulk. They are not as bulky and fluffy as they used to be. They are still VERY absorbent and VERY soft!! :-)****Last but not least, and I hope you all read this, I bought some of these diapers from Amazon to try them out. When I realized they were perfect for me, I bought the 24-pack from the Cotton Babies web site (originally $400, discounted to $360 with their "buy 5, get 1 free" promotion). If you sign up for the newsletter, they will give you a 5% off promo code included in their welcome letter! I'm all about saving $$, so I hope this helps!UPDATE: DEC. 2013 -- I am STILL using these BG Freetimes! My daughter is almost 1.5yrs and these diapers work wonderfully. I am expecting again in March with another little girl, and you can bet that I am going to be purchasing another stash for my second kiddo! Please email or leave a comment if you have any questions for me! I'd be happy to answer :-)

Overnight success with a cloth diaper!!
I purchased this item because it was suggested to be a good overnight diaper. I honestly did not have high expectations at all. My daughter sleeps 12-13 hours straight through the night AND sleeps on her tummy. Pampers baby dry we’re recommended and also work great, but I was excited to see a cloth diaper option. We cloth diaper throughout the day and a green and money saving option was also very appealing. When I saw the thin liner that comes on the inside, I decided to add a cotton/hemp doubler for the night (we have a heavy wetter). Once I figured out all the snaps and sizing (I admit to throwing out all packaging before reading it) we were ready for bed! (Those snaps are pretty “genius.”) I woke up this morning to a DRY baby on the outside. Inside was soaked, but it was contained! I was so excited! As a mom of kids in diapers, staying dry is so huge! I’ve already invested in Fuzzibuns diapers, but if I had to start over, I would be tempted to go all BumGenius. I will definitely be ordering a couple more for night diapering.

Great for the wallet and the environment!
When our son was 7 months old, we decided to make the switch from disposable to cloth diapers. I was tired of the waste of money and trash, and my brother had given us eight bumGenius diapers they had used for their boys. Of the eight given to us, six were pocket style, and two were all-in-ones. Knowing nothing, I immediately assumed I would love the convenience of the all-in-ones. While that turned out to be true, they also had their drawbacks, and I now prefer the pocket style instead. The pocket style is less likely to leak and has the ability to be double stuffed (we double stuff overnight). These two things make it the superior choice for us. That said, I still use the all-in-ones during the day, and they are great as long as we change him before they get too damp.Sizing the bumGenius is very easy. Simply snap down to the appropriate size for your child, and you're set (I accessed the bumGenius website for sizing guidelines).I assumed in the beginning that you put it on just like any other diaper. Seems obvious, right? Wrong! Cloth diapers should be put on differently than disposables. If put on properly, you're far less likely to have leaks. I found this YouTube video VERY helpful: (...)Washing is super easy! I do a pre-wash (quick wash on my machine) on cool (cool water helps to keep stains from setting) with no detergent and Nature's Miracle in the bleach compartment of my HE machine. Then, I do a heavy duty wash with detergent (regular Tide for HE, no more than halfway to the one on the measuring cup) and Nature's Miracle in the bleach compartment. Hang to dry (unsnap the inserts if snapped to dry faster), and you're ready to go. I've been using them for over a month now and have no residual smells or stains, and I've never used bleach.

Love bumgenius, can get it cheaper elsewhere
Bumgenius - great nappies, way better than disposable, a bit more of a chunky butt on a newborn than disposables but still fits under a vest and a lot nicer for their bottoms - less redness less rashes, and less leaking.Mirror colour - really nice soft turquoise colour, good unisex colour, looks a bit like bikini bottoms in this aqua colour!Poppers - great, last longer than aplixBuying bumgenius from amazon - you can get slightly better deals elsewhere, like if you buy several get them from the nappy lady website as you get discounts, if you get about ten they go down to around fifteen pounds.Definitely get a bin and washable drawstring bin liner, you probably need at least 20 nappies to use them all the time. They take between 1 and two days to dry depending on how warm it is, radiators etc.

A good night diaper option
This is an All in One diaper by Bumgenius. It has two layers of Microfiber soakers sewn in with suede for the skin facing sides. It works great for when I wear it at night as it keeps me dry till the morning. Then it goes straight into the washing machine. I am 5 months old and it works great for me. Unlike Bumgenius 4.0, you can't change the inserts so if you use it in the day; you still need to change it in 2-3 hours to avoid a diaper rash. Bumgenius has a similar version of this diaper called "Elemental" and it has natural cotton inserts instead of the man made fibers in this one. I can't wait to get my hands on the Elemental.

Worth the money spent
I was skeptical at first for this was my first purchase of cloth diaper after having tried disposable diapers all these months. But after almost a month, I realise this is worth the money spent. Besides eco-friendly, it does not cause any nappy rashes as happened with disposable ones. And quite easy to use.
