Smart-looking, comfortable and supportive! Perfect recliner.
My husband is 6’2” and the chair fits him perfectly; I am 5’6” and it’s perfect for me as well. The leather and wood craftsmanship is, in my opinion, on-par with some of the best high-end Scandinavian furnishings. Thinking about buying another one soon.

Very nice chair
This chair came completely assembled in an enormous box. The curbside delivery went to the loading dock of my high rise apartment building and the delivery person even brought it to the elevator. The chair is very attractive and the teak colored base matches my teak furniture perfectly. The reclining mechanism is a little inconvenient as you have to unscrew, lean back and the screw again which requires me to get off chair for full recline. The chair is quite comfortable but I would not get the small size as I am a small person and the large is not too large for me. I was not crazy about the matte finish of the leather, but when I put mink oil on it, it looked great.

Decent construction but very cheap leather doesn't hold up more than a couple of years
The frame construction of this recliner is fine which is the only reason I didn't give it one star, but the leather only held up for about 2-3 years. Shortly after the 2 year leather warranty expired, I start noticing some wear on the headrest and armrests, and now after 4 years it's a total eye sore. Of all the leather recliners and sectionals I've owned over the years, this one had the worst wear by far, including some no name recliners ordered on Amazon which were only $300-400.Also, after about 3-1/2 years, a spring inside the bottom cushion snapped, and I had to support the bottom with books while I waited 3 months for the manufacturer to send me a replacement. I received a bare cushion so I had to take the chair completely apart myself, and swap the leather on to the new bottom cushion. Since a lot of it snaps together these pieces were fairly hard to get apart. I'm 200 pounds so anything heavier than that and you may experience a similar problem.I've purchased no name recliners off Amazon for $300-400 that lasted just as long as this one, and was hoping that this one would have held up better than it did at this price point.

It's not the same as the Stressless or Fjord - pay less, get less.
As with any market, there is an arse for any seat (so says the sales person). The better Medium Stressless models are $2500 (and up!).The Fjord line (same company) are about $1300, but also available in different models and sizesThis is priced less because it is less. The reclining mechanism on mine was not even in the same league as the Stressless models. The assembly workmanship (comes assembled) was not checked and didn't align properly. Also, the comfort does not match up to better models of the other lines...more like the budget models of the other line.Of course, that is WHY it cost less. If you get a well assembled Scansit it will be fine, but there is good reason the "top of the line" are famous. The Vendor (Backstore) did take good care of me - when it came to resolving the alignment and assembly problems.I can't say to buy it or not...same with the Stressless. But some people don't bat an eye to get the best.Overall my advice is that if you have the money, upgrade to the next lines by the same maker. If you don't have the money, maybe this is a decent value because at least you get REAL leather which is not the case for much of the knock-offs.

Well made and comfortable
A well made and very comfortable chair. Delivery was quick and easy, they even brought it into the garage until we could unpack it. The chair has well padded arms and the thick cushions supports my back in all positions. Nice product for the price.
