It erases everything without residues

This is an outstanding eraser especially for music score 🎼 writing. It erases perfectly and leaves not one smudge on the music sheet! Definitely the way to go I highly recommend it….

I purchased this pencil eraser and I have been very happy with it. It erases cleanly and leaves no residue, which is great for working on written documents or drawings. It's also a good size - not too big or too small - and fits comfortably in my hand.

I'm in trouble. My wife, who is from PR, got me hooked on these erasers. But the price keeps going up! What gives?!As you may (or likely may not) know, every school in PR, be it private or public, REQUIRES these erasers by name. Every pharmacy chain, be it local or franchise, sells them. Every school supply store sells them. In Puerto Rico. Good luck finding these in the States, though... Until now. At inflated prices. >_>So yeah... Lion Plastic Erasers: The official eraser of Puerto Rico."Big deal," you might say, but these are no ordinary erasers. Oh, no. They work AMAZING for removing pencil from your work without damaging the paper. The crumbles also don't leave marks all over the place like some erasers, either. And the dang things just last and last, which is a good thing considering these sell for $10 for a pack of three at the time of this writing. "Highway Robbery!" you might say, and you would not be wrong, for these very same erasers can be had for a fraction of the cost back on the island. Or so I hear... Look, I trust my wife, okay?But bombast aside, these erasers work well, and I LOVE their handy size for the precision work I have to do when I'm drafting electrical schematics for my job. So much, in fact, that I've forsaken my once-cherished Pentel Hi-Polymers for "Goma Lion" because that's how impressed I am with these Japanese-made vinyl erasers that I never knew existed.Bottom line: Good, but you would be forgiven for thinking these aren't $3/each good. Five stars for the quality. Zero stars for E-tailers trying to scalp the buyers who wax nostalgic because they actually grew up with these and know a good product when they see it.

I use it for homework. Is the best eraser, i use it since i was a little girls.

I use it when I was a student back in Puerto Rico and now that I’m teaching in Colorado I have to order it because the erasers my school used I hate it. Even my students prefer this eraser, and they ask to use it.

This is the only eraser I have used all my life. It erase crayons and color pencil marks, too.

These erasers are decent, but they're nothing special. In fact, they're quite expensive for what you get. I've tried tons of different erasers over the years and there are much better alternatives out there (Tombow Mono, Faber Castell, and Sakura Sumo Grip are all superior to this). So I'm not sure why some people hold this particular eraser in such high regard when they're only slightly above average.

Being left-handed is supposed to correlate to genius, but while the jury's out on whether it's causal or coincidental, the verdict is damning when it comes to smudging. Even the smartest southpaws feel me, amirite? I have tested some thirty-odd different erasers, from caran d'ache down to pink pearls, looking for THE ONE. With so many reviewers waxing nostalgic about Puerto Rican teachers demanding only Lion erasers, I had outsize hopes for the island of enchantment's gold-standard school supply. They erase marks reasonably well, but require more pressure than other basic erasers, in my experience. This might be the reason for their popularity with younger children - they aren't likely to tear through paper with heavy handed erasing the way a more abrasive rubber might. I'll probably give the other two to my friend's kindergartener as I doubt I'll get much more use out of the first one.

They work well but are a little smaller than I thought they would be. They do not smudge as promised, which is nice.
